Worked well with our smoker

Soak it in water, the flavor can't be beat. Good burn ,nice smoke meat came out wonderful

Solid chips
Honestly, not sure that I could tell the difference between gourmet mesquite wood chips and basic mesquite wood chips, but I made the best pulled pork of my life with these and the flavor was awesome. Chips themselves were of reasonable size. No complaints.

Absolutely perfect to start any fire. I found the smoke a bit black and pungent. However it’s just a fire starter. And it lives up to its name. Can’t go wrong.

Wood chips doing what wood chips do!
We use these to smoke meats in our gas grill. We soak them for an hour, put them in an aluminum pan, put the filled pan on an end burner, light that burner, put the meat on the unlit parts of the grill, close the lid and wait the appropriate amount of time. Works darned good. Doesn't take much at all for our foods to get nice and smokey! When we had issues getting them to smoke up, we just mixed in more dry chips. Issues with them smoking too fast/much were dealt with by adding some more wet chips to the pan. Will buy again if they are cheaper than our local butcher shop sells mesquite chips ($2.49 a bag for non-Oklahoma Joe's chips). Still, considering these are Oklahoma Joe's brand chips, the price difference is reasonable and these are well worth it.
