Zip tied to bicycle helmet

I had to cut slits into it and use zip ties to secure it around my bicycle helmet. It worked and it protected me from the sun while riding.

It works but hotter than a portapotty in the sun

Super great results. I'm a ginger and the sun and I are not best friends. I'm more like aluminum foil on the beach and burn like dry toast in the sun. Thank God for this contraption! I was beginning to scare the locals when my ears started to look like red poker chips at work. So I got this on my hard hat and while it works to keep the sun from baking me to death, it's rather hot. The material traps the heat. Still miles better than the kask hard hats tho.

Works on Bicycle Helmets with Visor

I was a little hesitant to buy this brim because all the photos were of construction helmets. I wanted to have a wide brim on my cycling helmet to protect from sun exposure on morning or afternoon rides. Well, guess what? This brim does work on bicycle helmets that have a VISOR. The visor will tuck into the front visor pocket and the back of the helmet will tuck into the rear pocket. The brim stayed on during my first outing of 5 miles. However the neck flap was flapping up a storm! So I used a couple of binder clips to clip the flap to the center opening and the flapping went away during my typical 17 mile ride. It works great for my purpose and will protect my ears and neck from sunburn!

Best Hard Hat Shade I have ever used! Affordable, mobile, effective! Phoenix, AZ tested!

I work concrete construction in Phoenix Arizona. We start as early as possible in the summer, preferably 4AM-Noon because it gets so dang hot here. Many days we're out in the field well beyond Noon, up to 3 or 4PM. So to me, having a good hard hat shade is absolutely mandatory. The shade is large enough to protect the entire front of my face from the sun as well as the back of my neck. I find protecting the back of my neck from too much sun helps me feel less drained from the outdoor work I do, especially at the end of the day. This hard hat shade is very affordable. I have been using it for 4 months now without a problem. I also use a headlamp when starting at 4AM. So I have to it off in the dark when wearing a headlamp or else the brim blocks the light. It's not a problem though, it easily folds up and I can stow it away in my tool bags until the sun comes out, and then pop it back on. I've received many compliments from this hard hat shade and I am very pleased with the purchase of this item. When the one I have wears out, I'll get another. 5 Stars!

It’s ok

So I just got this in and first day I tried it, it doesn’t fit my hard hard because of the kind I have. Mine isn’t an circular hard hat. It kept blowing off my hard hat every time the wind blew. However, It did good at giving me sun protection lol. But looks like I’m wearing a flying saucer n I love it lol. N e thing that makes me look even more goofier at work is always good n safe lol. Idk about durability cuz usually anything that has that wire that folds usually doesn’t take long to wear it out to the point it won’t bend anymore. But all else is good. Update: the problem of it not fitting my hat eventually became annoying cuz I’d have to chase the thing down the road and in a busy refinery that is the thing I wanna be doing. It’s not safe. I ended up going with a foam fitting sun protection instead. But I would suggest making sure what type of hard hat u have before purchase. I honestly didn’t think there was a difference.

Works for bicycle helmets with small modification

I bought this for a bicycle helmet, and it does work, if you just insert a couple of cavas “tent” grommets in the back and zip tie the hat down to the helmet. Not hard to do if you have a grommet kit that you could get at Michaels or elsewhere.

Too large for standard hard hat

Quality of this product is good. Fast delivery and in good shape. Unfortunately though, the hole is just a little too large for my hard hat (which is standard size). It doesn't stay on. Disappointed. If you have a larger hard hat, maybe one with a larger brim to begin with, it would be fine!

Would work well for a full brimmed hard hat

The product does not fit a "traditional" shaped hard hat such as a fiber metal. The product would work well for a full brimmed hard hat and appears to be of respectable quality. I had it out and on a couple of times over the course of a work day and ended up giving it to someone with a full brimmed hard hat. One star because the description states "Fits most hard hats including full brim" I would ague that the opposite is true.

No es el producto que está en la imagen, no cubre como dicen las referencias, la verdad estoy decepcionada del producto y más porque teníamos la esperanza de minimizar el golpe de calor que genera estar en obra, y más me entristece que no aplican las devoluciones
