Made My Sister Happy

Recently my sister began using a walker, and I noticed that the back legs of the walker seemed to be hindering rather than helping her walking. I started looking around for something to help her and found these glides on Amazon. Once I pried off the rubber from her walker (that was the only part that was a bit difficult to get off---but not much.) The slides popped on easily and brought the "new" walker to her. She got up and took a little walk with them and was thrilled with how much easier it was for her to get around.

These are a major step up from tennis balls.

I got a set for my mom's walker and ended up getting her a back up pair. She loves them. The do wonderful on sidewalks, carpet, or flat grass. Not so well in taller grass or gravel. Flatter doorways are easy for them but tall ones u may still have to lift the walker some.

Makes the walker glide over all kinds of flooring.

These are the best feet for a walker. Hard to put on without a hammer but fantastic once installed. Feet just glide over any type of flooring and sidewalks and entrance ways, like at the Dr office, bank, retail stores.

Great product..must buy

I bought these worried they were going to be cheap and flimsy. But by no means are they cheap or flimsy they're very strong very sturdy they stay straight they slide great over everything. I will buy more when these wear out, which doesn't seem to be anytime soon due to the fact that these are made very well.

Don’t use a walker with out them.

If you have a walker with two wheels and two stable legs, you have got to use these. It makes it so your walker can easily slide across all types of terrains: hardwood floors, tile, carpet, parking lots, grass, rocks, anything. You don’t have to pick the walker up, you can just slide it along. These prevent you from getting the walker hung up and caught on anything. These work better than tennis balls because they allow the walker to slide over different types of ground without getting stuck or slowing down.

The walker sliders work great

Bought them for my mom. She says they are better than the tennis balls! Now my sister and I don’t have to try to find some at our local tennis court.

NOVA Medical Products Walker Glide Skis

I bought these to replace the standard rear leg caps on my wife's Drive Medical 10210-1 Deluxe 2-Button Folding Walker with Wheels. They went on easily and work just great, allowing the walker to glide over the plush carpeting in our house. She is very pleased with the combination.

I bought these before, and bought again to have a spare set. These were bought for my mother's walker. She is 95 years old. She has some circulation problems in her legs and feet, thus making them weaker and having pain. Otherwise she is fairly healthy for her age. The places near to where we live were out of stock on these. I saw the diameter of the tubing on her walker is a bit smaller than the proper size for these. I used some Duct Tape to build up the diameter. I inserted the skid over the enlarged diameter tubing. It was perfect. I re-enforced them with some Duct Tape wound around the outer part to the tubing. Perfect! The first thing my mother noticed with these skids being larger than the original ones especially for the skid part is they slide better and smoother on floors. They have less tendency to lift rugs when she goes over them. For an elderly person lifting the walker over the edge of rugs and keeping balanced is a bit of a strain. We also noticed the bottoms of this model of skids are slightly thicker. This will make them last longer than the originals. She walks a little on sidewalks, and around in shopping malls with her walker to have some exercise. Very satisfied with these skids. They worked out perfect for my mother. I would recommend them.

No more tennis balls!!!

These didn't fit my own walker, so I gave them to a friend who has the traditional grey metal walker, and who lives in a nursing home. She was positively ecstatic about them!!! She said it was so nice to be able to use her walker so easily indoors and outdoors without those horrible tennis balls. Now everyone in her nursing home wants them and is planning to order them. I kept a pair for myself because I will be having a hip replacement and will use them on the traditional walker that I'm anticipating having to use. I have a light weight walker that uses glides that are at a different angle. Glides are wonderful - I've used them in the house, at the beach, in the snow, on cement, on grass - they're wonderful!

Great skiing!

The skis fit the walker perfectly and have sufficiently thick plastic sliders to last for a long time. Just make sure the tubing of your walker and the diameter of the skis match.
