It works ... among other things ...
So first things first, I’ve never previously owned a light box even while I live in a place that doesn’t have much sunshine during the winter time (AKA currently) so take my review with a tiny grain of salt knowing this. Upon buying this product, I did experience a greater amount of energy in the morning. I typically sit about a foot and a half away from the light (I know the description mentions/recommends sitting within a foot of the light, but seriously, for someone who has never seen a UV bulb before, it is VERY bright, I don’t want it any closer to my face). The instructions were non existent and in another language, but was pretty intuitive. I have used it at other times during the day as well, to try and give myself a mood boost (which often works), but never at night since it seems to disrupt sleep cycles. The metal around the bulb gets warm pretty fast, but never to the point that I haven’t been able to turn the devise off, but I do believe that if it were left on for a long duration of time it may become a fire hazard. All in all, I cannot say anything unusual has happened with the product or anything was broken upon arrival.

For this kind of light, it is a great size and nice enough to leave out (sort of like a little sculpture). I had high hopes that it would be a cure-all, but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference for me. For what it's worth, I read that it must be used very consistently for it to work, so I'm still using it daily in the hopes that it might make a difference.

8th Wonder of the World
It's hard to tell what the lamp looks like from the product photo, but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived in the mail. The design is very sleek and understated, and it looks great on my desk at work! Most importantly, it has worked wonders for my well being. I turn it on for an hour in the morning and an hour before leaving and I've noticed a marked difference in my mood, especially during dark and rainy seasons. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a light therapy lamp that doesn't look like a lighted makeup mirror.

Doesn’t Ship Well...
The lamp was a good size and cute design (unlike other lift therapy lamps I’ve looked at). I never got to see how it worked because the bulb came in thousands of pieces (many loose), and I couldn’t easily find a replacement bulb near me (I’m assuming they’re also fairly expensive since the product is ~$100). The plastic screw on top of mine also wasn’t fitted well, so even if the bulb wasn’t broken it probably wouldn’t have functioned properly. I have to say, though, I blame Amazon, not Northern Light Technologies for the broken bulb. There is nothing on the amazon shipping box that states it is fragile (the company’s box does), and there was a bunch of open space between the two boxes. I am disappointed with the care that was taken to get the lamp to me. I will not repurchase online, but may end up getting the lamp in-store if I can find it.

Nice product. Packing is weak
Works great. Bulb was broken. Packing of bulb needs redesign because carrier threw it on my porch. If light was packed in foam with bulb coil fingers it would have survived. I bought a new bulb at it works nicely although I couldn't find high wattage size to fit.

This light is fantastic. I have been using it consistently for about a week now, and today I woke up in a considerably more chipper mood. I think it is helping my sleep cycle as well. Also, it is a beautiful shape, and every morning looks like bright white, glowing pyramid-shaped space ship on my table.

I live in a tiny apartment and threw out the box immediately after opening but I will not be happy until someone makes good on this
Bulb was shattered when it arrived. I left a voicemail message at Northern Lights. Hopefully they'll call me back immediately after the New Year. I can't find any number or email to reach Amazon about this. I live in a tiny apartment and threw out the box immediately after opening but I will not be happy until someone makes good on this. I expect an unbroken bulb to arrive within the next few days. When it does I'll properly review this.
