A useful device for bakers

It works. It prevents the pie crust from being over-baked before the pie is done. Especially useful if you want to use a wavy raised edge on your pie crust. We use both a 9 and a 10 inch, depending on the size of the pie pan and pie.

Okay but thought it would cover edge. Had to foil to make it work.

Easy clean- not that sturdy. Not as large as my pie pan - had to add foil anyway. Will probably buy the adjustable silicon ones now.

Good but you need to order a 10" size for standard pyrex 9inch pies

Loosing a star for having me order the 9" size for my 9" pie pans amd it didn't fit. Silly me for thinking the 9inch size would fit a 9inch pan. Make sure you order side up.

Sturdy, maybe, but too small and not adjustable.

I prefer aluminum to plastic, but this shield is just too small.

Works great! Better than foil

This pie ring is the perfect size for frozen 9" pies and crusts. It doesn't fly away like foil can. It protects better and more evenly than foil. Be careful when you're hand washing as it has somewhat sharp edges. Hand washing is recommended.

Doesn't quite cover my 9-inch pie plate

Advertised to work with a 9-inch pie plate, but it doesn't reach the edges of mine. That's where burning is likely to occur.
