I Feel Understood...by a Tea/Coffee Maker
When I started shopping for a new coffee maker, I'd originally been thinking of some kind of single-cup pod/disk system as I most often only drink one or two coffee/tea beverages per day, but I am relatively picky about flavor, need to limit my caffeine intake, and have some ingredient intolerances and health issues -- as a result, I liked the idea of having a greater measure of control and more options (it's also nice to have the option to brew a full or half carafe when I have company). So when I saw this machine, I got kind of excited! I liked the idea of having a variety of brew size options and an easy way to create specialty drinks -- all in a single machine. And the fact that this also provides tea brew options made trying this product too tempting to resist. Previous to this coffee/tea maker, I was using an old iced tea machine without adding ice to make tea concentrate for my favorite drink (iced decaf chocolate chai made with a high-protein alternative milk -- yum!), but this Ninja CP307 makes a tea brew of far superior flavor and makes just the right amount, so I can create a drink that tastes better than my local coffee and tea place at a cheaper price and with more nutritional value. This machine has dedicated baskets for coffee and tea, which are color-coded orange for coffee and green for tea, and I like that since it means those flavors and aromas don't mix (I confess that I wish I could buy an extra tea basket on Amazon, too, since I tend to make particularly fragrant teas -- chai and mint -- and would like a dedicated basket for each, but that has no bearing on the quality of the product, and replacement/extra baskets are available on the Ninja website). The baskets are very easy to remove and clean, as is the water reservoir. And I love the double-sided measuring spoon that nests in the side of the machine since it makes it so easy to get the right amount for each size of drink. I will say that the first few times I made coffee with this machine, I sometimes had a bit of leakage issue and not all the water had dripped from the basket upon the end of the brewing cycle, leaving a sort of "well" in the center of the grounds, but I discovered that the problem was the coffee itself, which came ground and was supposed to be the correct grind for the machine, but clearly wasn't quite right. When I switched to another brand after that previous bag was empty, I never had another problem. So the machine IS a wee bit persnickety about the coffee grind -- something that might be an annoyance to some consumers -- but I've found a brand that both I and the machine like, so it performs perfectly now, and I didn't find that early issue to be off-putting enough even at the time to ruin what was otherwise such a fantastic machine and which made such fine drinks. Of course, this machine is probably overkill if one is just a hot, black coffee drinker, but if you like a variety of coffees and teas and appreciate the ability to enjoy a good specialty drink at home, this might be a good option for you. I know it has been for me!

I love this thing!
Coffee and Tea Back to Back: So... a lot of times when you hear about coffee makers that also make tea, all I think about is the awful taste of having coffee grounds in your tea >_

Amazing for coffee lovers, may need some spacers to fix leaking after long term use
I've been using this coffee maker for almost 2 years every single day for my morning coffee and the occasional afternoon coffee. Needless to say, I've gotten mileage out of it. I decided after having the glass pot for while that I wanted the thermal one to keep the coffee warmer for longer after the hot plate stopped. It does a great job at that and I do absolutely recommend the thermal pot. Also to note, the thermal pot has a larger opening on the top than the glass one which helps deal with the leaking problem I was eluding to. So the leaking issue basically has to do with the way that the mechanism works that opens the hole in the filter section to allow the water out. When it tries to open it, it pushes the whole filter system upwards against a spring-loaded part at the bottom to allow the liquid to flow through. The problem is that the filter system is tightly fitted with the top part of the coffee maker meaning it moves the filter instead of the spring. This makes it so that the place where the liquid is supposed to come out isn't opened enough and the liquid travels across the bottom surface where it comes out and can often leak around the pot it's supposed to fall into. With the glass pot, it happens more because it's smaller on top. Luckily the thermal one is much bigger and doesn't usually run into this issue. What I've found that fixes the issue is if you add some sort of spacer on top of the removable filter so that the system fits more snug. This will avoid any kind of leakage issues. I've also heard spotted complaints about the water reservoir leaking or the part the connects to the reservoir leaking. I have not run into this issue but I've read about it and typically the problem is where the bottom part of the reservoir meets the coffee maker. It seems like the rubber/silicone parts that are meant to seal off the connection are faulty and allow water to come out. If you're looking for a solution to this, I'd recommend either looking for a replacement piece for that or cleaning it. I have also seen videos online about this issue that might be worth looking at. TLDR: Amazing overall, will still recommend. The thermal pot is better than the glass pot, keep an eye out for possible leaks. Pick up spacers of some kind if there are leaks.

Easy to use, and lots of features.
Love the fact that it makes single cups, travel mugs, half carafe, etc sizes with just the turn of a knob. Seems to saturate the coffee grounds well and develops the flavour nicely. The milk frother works well, and the little booklet if drink recipes is nice as well. Worth every penny so far.

Nice hot cup of coffee!
Liked the feature that sets the heating temp to elevation where we live. Stop drip feature is great and frother works well.

Versatile and great quality
I've had this coffee maker for a couple of months now and I'm very pleased with it. The build quality is fantastic, it seems well made and durable, on top of the versatility provided by brewing coffee and tea, and brewed well. Like most of us, I've owned multiple coffee makers over the years, most recently a high quality espresso maker, and I have to tell you, I prefer this ninja.
