Color not matching the adverstisment
The files handles I received were black and orange color, not black and white color as in the picture. Not a fit/form/function issue, but advertisement should be updated.

Nice handle, good price
This is a nice file handle for the price. The file fits snuggly in the handle and the handle is comfortable.

Nice firm fit, and very comfortable!
Bought two - Installed one on a 7 inch long rat tail file, and the other on a 8 inch half round. The inserts seem to be slightly more flexible than the material of the handle. The half-round went in with a few smart whacks on the workbench with the handle down and file upwards. I used relatively light force from a small arbor press to seat the insert in the handle for the rat-tail because beating on it wasn't working easily. Gripping the file gently in a vise and whacking on the handle would have done the same thing. Once seated, they hold the files nice and firmly, and are very comfortable. A little pricy, but I think they are worth it. My hands, and the work I am doing with the files are much better now. I will save up and buy more of them.

Craftsman 3/8 thumbdrive ratchet
I wanted a comfort grip for my 3/8 ratchet but the snapoon grips are about $30 so I decided to try this grip out. I drilled out the hole so that it's slightly smaller than my ratchet handle and pounded the ratchet in after heating it with a heat gun. It seems to work well so far. I also added drops of super glue in the handle to help it group to the ratchet so it doesn't loosen and spin.

Didn't even know tht Nicholsen had Blk/RED handles. Yea, work the same . . . but is like having 3 blue seats in your car and the fourth seat is yellow. Caveat Emptor.

Nicholson 21474H HANDLE,COMLDED W/INSERTS,ERGONOMIC,CDD. I used it to make a soil probe to use with my metal detecting gear. I inserted a 1/4" dia. brass rod into the handle and blunted the rod. I had to enlarge the hole in the round rod insert to accommodate the large diameter brass rod. It worked out well.

Soooo much better than the cheap handles
Sold on these handles! Using this handle for my 12" 10" and 8" mill bastards and my larger (8") triangular files. The file tang seats nicely without undo pounding and the handle doesn't rotate like some of the cheaper ones. The rubber grip is squarish in cross-section so maintaining file angle is easy with or without gloves. Bought 4 more and sent my cheaper handles to Goodwill.

Easy to install, works with most files, grips like crazy and feels good in the hand.
There's not a lot to say that's bad about this product. The two adapters it comes with do a reasonably good job at making the handle compatible with most files. I've attached these handles to Nicholson and Craftsman files from 8 inches to 12 inches long and so far, no problems getting them to stay attached. The only reason I gave it four stars is that the tabs on the files don't fit all the way into the handle, which makes the file turn in the handle slightly when you're really going to town on a piece of metal. The price is reasonable for what it is. You should get one for every file you own and just plan on keeping them mounted permanently. It's a bit of a chore to disengage the file from the handle after it's been pushed in. Country of origin is China.

Unclear specs and plugged up inert.
Price is pretty good. But quality is so so. The insert that I need is the one with cross (X shape) cavity. It comes with some crap inside. It looks like some rubber is left inside during manufacturing. I need to use a heavy hammer to force the file handle in. Also I don't appreciate why the seller did not specify what types and size files the inserts fit. But that size chart is clearly printed on the package (and 12" size is not one of those listed). No wonder a few customs are upset because the handle does not fit 12" files.

Got this handle to go on my farrier rasp (for doing horse feet) and it fits! Happy with the rubber grip.

Doesn’t fit Nicholson 12 inch
It is a well-made product, sure enough, and I will find a use for it, but it does not fit my Nicholson 12 inch.

Excellent handles. Easy to fit and much easier on the hand than hard plastic or wooden handles. Price is very reasonable also.
