Easy to apply tiles, easily to cut, and look great!

I felt this product was easy to install. I did the kitchen and bathroom for that matter, by my self. My husband was thrilled that I was able to do it without him having to lift a finger. Was my first time, but once I got started it was a breeze. Swept and mopped the floor real good, let dry, etc... Then measured and pre-aligned my pattern plan, to get an idea of how I wanted it to look, before actually applying each tile. I also wanted to see rather I would do the black / white checkers pattern to be smaller, using one per check color, or a larger checker pattern using 4 per checker box. I ended up doing the larger pattern. It looks fantastic. I really like it. I was originally dealing with an old out dated, stained, scuffed up played out floor. It was like that jaw breaker type look, like an old class room type of floor. Well I couldn’t stand it any more. Being that it’s a rental, which we’re transitioning in, until next year when we buy our house. I didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money, so I resulted in the best deal I could find, and came across these. I bought 4 white and 3 black boxes which I still have left over. They costed about $10 and change each. Which covered my entire kitchen of just over 100 tiles 12x12” per. I also bought the grey wood accent color tiles and completed my bathroom with a box and a half. Each containing 20 tiles per box. The grey and the white tiles showed up in a couple days, where the black tiles took about 3wks, which was my only set back and complaint. However, it all ended well, and met my expectations. The only thing I’d advise, is placing on flat cleaned surface, (I applied them right over the existing tiles) line up real well, bringing each tile as close and aligned as possible, one by one. There might be times when you might place it down, then notice it’s off a bit, which might not be too obvious at the time but once you get most of them down and stand up to look at them, it is more obvious. Fixing it is not difficult when you fix it at that moment. I was able to lift, and straighten it then reapply. BUT if you lift it away and back again too much it will not stick as well. So once your done, it will start to lift from the surface a little. I noticed it in the restroom about a week later. However it was only the one I remember lifting and replacing back a couple times. Beside that I’ve no problems with any of the other times. I just put glue under that one and haven’t had issues with it since. I also put silicone caulk along the edges, all the way around the bathroom and I’m going to do that in the kitchen also, so nothing gets underneath the edges... Crumbs, liquids etc. They seem to wipe clean easily. I even had to drag my dining table over the tiles, and I was a bit skeptical about it, but no problem! No scuffs no scratches, no movement from any of them; mind you, my table is a bit heavy solid wood, and it was within minutes after completing that side of the kitchen. So if your a little doubtful. I’m just giving my honest feedback and experience. I’m glad I bought this, and I have zero complaints or regrets. My bathroom is going on 2 months and the kitchen about maybe 2 weeks. Black tiles oozing glue

Two of the three boxes of black vinyl tiles had excess glue oozing onto the backing sheets and onto the next tile edges. This made working with the tiles very messy. Cleaning the tiles after they were installed was also very messy and ended up using quite a lot of mineral spirits to finish the job. Otherwise, these tiles are fairly easy to install...edges are straight and uniform. We made a nice checkerboard pattern with using white tiles of the same brand (no glue oozing on the white ones).

Great inexpensive floor update!

Had to renovate my bathroom in a newly purchased home, my budget was getting tight with multiple renovations so I resorted to these peel and stick tiles to finish off my bathroom. Finish is nice, very shiny, installation was simple except around the toilet where I had to make a pattern to cut the tile appropriately. I did have to use liquid nails over the silicone edge of my tub and one part around the toilet that the tiles wouldn’t stick to. I haven’t fully moved into the house but so far the tiles are staying in place and look amazing for the price!

Good looking, easy to install

It’s a perfect black tile. Low adhesion , but maybe its because it in my bathroom. Have you ever had black flooring? Do you like cleaning? You will clean it 100 times per day???? You will see every tiny hair on your new floor ????

Check quality before installing

I purchased these tiles because they were advertised as easy to install, came in the colour I wanted and the price was reasonable. I didn't open the product upon receipt but recommend doing so if you buy this product. Because after installing the first box I opened the second and found a few tiles had pits in them and were touched up with a marker of the same colour. I used the damaged tiles in the closet but I feel that product sold as new should not be damaged And dressed up to look new. Very dissatisfied with the dishonesty in play here. The adhesive is inconsistent from tile to tile and I had to use 2 sided tape to secure some of the tiles.

Good for the price

As I type, a box of 20 tiles is priced at $26.00. Given that each tile costs little more than a dollar each, I don't really feel like I can complain too much about them, but I am not gonna lie, they are far from perfect. In the two boxes I received, a total of five tiles had significant blemishes (deep pitting) and most of the others have some minor scuffs/scratches/dents here and there, so if perfection is paramount these aren't the tiles for you. In my case, these tiles are serving as a temporary cosmetic improvement to the floor they are currently covering so I am not too fussed about their imperfections. And honestly? The texture of these tiles disguises the minor imperfections quite well so most blemishes are only noticeable when viewed up close. As far as installation/adhesion goes? I found them plenty "sticky" enough and since this is not my first time laying these kinds of tiles, I found them pretty easy to work with all in all. In my experience, the prep work is everything with peel and stick tiles. I made sure to sweep, vacuum, and then scrub my floor until I could have eaten off of it it was so clean, before I even pulled the first tile out of the box. After that, I just took my time with any required measuring/cutting and made sure to lay all the tiles in the same direction (as marked on the backing paper). I used a utility knife and a pair of scissors to cut with (easy peasy) and an old rolling pin to press them down and smooth out any air bubbles. I am very pleased with my results so far- my floor looks a bazillion times better than it did with the old crap that's underneath it at least! Time will tell how well the tiles will wear, but based on past experiences with similar tiles I am not expecting any problems. And if I do have any issues I will only be out $50.00 and a few hours of my time. I can handle that.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - IT DOES NOT STICK

This is the worst flooring I have come across, it is good looking and would have suited my purpose IF IT WOULD STICK!!! This product curls up and actually peels up from the floor - DO NOT BUY!!!
