Worked well for us!

We used 5 boxes of these to fill about a 10 x 10 space in our garage to turn it into a room for my son. It took a while, but simple enough. Just peel, stick, and repeat. They are extremely tacky and stick very well. We did wipe down the concrete floor a couple times as we went along to make sure it was clear of any debris. They aren't perfect. Namely, a few of the tiles are slightly more yellow than others and some of them dont line up perfectly. If you're looking for perfection, you should probably be ready to pay more than $12 a box. For me, they more than exceeded expectations.

Just what I needed

I first installed these tiles in my kitchen in 1995. After 28 years many needed replacing and I wasn't sure I'd be able to find them again. Amazon magic!! There they were. Whereas some tiles, or some parts of the old tiles were ready to pop off, many sections wouldn't budge and I needed to force them off with chisels. I couldn't think of a product that would loosen them. I might ask next time I'm in the hardware store. But the new ones went down easy and I hope they last as long as the originals.

For the price they seem pretty good.

Project: I purchased these tiles for the floor of a 5x12 enclosed trailer with a painted plywood floor. Prep for the floor was vacuuming then wiping down with ammonia and water. 3 boxes of qty12, 12x12 tiles. One tile left over. Tiles seem pretty sturdy and the glue is plentiful and strong. Glue gets to be quite messy and all over the tiles and hands. I used some Turtle Wax spray adhesive remover for clean up of me and the tiles. The tiles are easy to cut just by lightly scoring the top and the bending them, they snap cleanly apart. I found it odd that the tiles from the same box don't quite line up but for this project it wasn't a problem. They other issue I had was that the arrows that show you which way to lay the tiles suddenly switched pattern mid box. Easily noticed be black and white but could be an issue with a different pattern. I ordered them around 7 pm and they arrived around 7 am the next day. $40 and about 5 hours labor and my trailer interior is looking pretty good!

Easy tile floor

This came so quickly ( basically overnight) was packaged well. No damaged to any of the tiles. Tiles were very sticky. Have something handy to wipe off excess glue. Very easy to lay. I laid these over old flooring. Worked out so well. Easy to cut and scored well. We have an L shaped bathroom so I ordered 3 boxes and had 10 left. Very pleased with how these came and would buy again.

Perfect!

I cannot say specifically how well these tiles adhere on their own as we did use separate adhesive to ensure they would stay in place, especially since we put tiles up on the walls. We bought the adhesive before the tile as we didn’t know what to expect. The adhesive on the tile is actually extremely tacky. Just from removing the backing, we had to use “goo-gone” to get it off of our hands and tools. If just for the floor, I don’t think you’d need an additional adhesive. *the white tiles are much stickier than the black and checkered. Not sure why, but the backing did not come off in one smooth sheet. It partially came off then ripped and stuck to the tiles. Not difficult to remove, just a bit annoying as we did have many tiles to place. Not a deal breaker. We used the large individual black tiles and white tiles for the floor. (5 boxes of each) They do have a nice sheen to them, but after mopping they appear a bit dull. We bought a floor cleaner with wax in it and it shines them right back up. For the walls, we used the checkered tiles. Easy to cut and align. Some of the tiles are a bit off as far as matching the squares to the next tile but not too noticeable. 1/8” at most. I do like that though as I wouldn’t expect perfection coming from a factory. If they were ceramic and hand placed individually, I’d be more picky. We originally bought 3 boxes but had to order 2 more which DID come the NEXT DAY! (The photo of the unfinished around the countertop is right after we finished before placing the order for the other 2 boxes.) Out of the 15 boxes, there were 4 tiles found to be defective. The vinyl on 2 white and 1 black were smeared/crumpled on part of the tiles as if they were too hot when moved from the machine that made them. Not a big deal, we had more than enough. One of the checkered tiles was cut short at an angle as well. 4 out of 300 tiles is nothing to complain about. Also: we have 3 kids, 14 cats, and a dog. It has been about a month and these tiles are holding up very well. Even with all of the animals, no scratches! As far as the kids go-spills wipe up easily as well. Much better quality than I was expecting and may keep for longer than planned as we would eventually like to epoxy the floor instead… but maybe not. I really like these tiles! ***Our 12 year olds helped without a problem to give you an idea of how easy installation is.

Super Shiny and Slippery but Cute

It was honestly my bad but the squares are pretty small since it’s 2 black and 2 white sections per tile. It gave me a little headache looking at it. They’re cute though. They’re super shiny though so if you need a matte look these aren’t for you. My boxes came a little roughed up so that wasn’t the best impression.

Great for the price

The asthetic on these tiles is great. When you install get some adhesive because the corners will curl. I used LocTite All Purpose adhesive with a caulk gun to hold them down. Expect some imperfections in the cut and color. If using more than one box, pull tiles from different boxes so the variances are mixed across your floor. A lot of the manufacturer' adhesive stuck to the face up side of the tile. I removed it with Goo-Gone after I was done installing, and mopped with blue Dawn dish soap to remove the Goo-Gone. You'll want to wear gloves when you install. The adhesive sticks less strongly to nitrile than latex. All in all I have no complaints about these tiles. Have a straight edge handy, take your time, and order an extra box so you have enough tiles to correct your mistakes. Makes a fun and interesting floor.

Great value but not great glue

Got these for a kitchen. They were easy to cut and install. The paper backing was easy to remove as well. But after a week or so several tiles began to come up, I had to purchase an additional adhesive to make them stay in place. The price is great, but get a small bucket of vinyl adhesive just in case.

Decent price, the quality.. not so much

Some of the tiles came broken, bent on the corners and they peel off so fast! its only been two days and despite prepping the floors and sticking according to instructions, the floor peeled and with it less than a week they started to chip and fall apart. The glue of the tile gets gunky and sticks on to the top side and collects dust and is so hard to remove - after scrubbing with dish soap. It’s good for temporary, not good for long term use. Got 5 of these, won’t get them again.

Absolutely perfect!!

Got this for my rental bathroom and i'm absolutely in love! Very easy to install (get an exacto knife and you'll be fine). I've had it for almost a year and no lifting. Little nervous for the removal part since i'll be moving soon, we will see..

Mediocre quality but easy to install

Quality a bit cheap and the pattern doesn’t line up exactly. We used it in our rv and don’t wear shoes because I think it would scratch easily.
