wouldn't use for an entire floor
I bought these to make stepstools less slippery for my cat to use as stairs, and they're perfect for that! I wouldn't dream of putting these down on an actual floor. Much too cheap for that.

Easy to install, varies in sizes. Not all are 12x12. Color varies
Pro tip: use 3m 77 adhesive spray. These are very easy to install. However lots of cons: Each tile varies on size and color. Some are light gray some are darker. Each tiles varies in size, most are close to 12x12, but each one varies every so slightly. Those missing mm start to add up and become noticeable. Overall I am pleased with them. Used these to add some carpet into the entry way of my garage.

Would have been 5 stars, but...
the package only contained 11 carpet squares instead of 12. I use these for a homemade cat scratcher setup. My cats rip them up over a couple of months and then I replace them. It would have been great to get all 12 squares as I use 4 it a time.

We have an indoor cat. I carpeted a section of the wall going up to the top of a cabinet. She lives to make the climb. These are perfect for this project

Differences in adhesive
I installed in two different rooms and the adhesive was completely different in both orders. One the backing was falling off and the adhesive wasn't as strong and the other the adhesive seemed great but was hard to even tear off the backing but I'd prefer better adhesion. It says to install on subfloor, unfortunately mine is plywood and the adhesion wasn't that great. In the second room I painted with Killz primer and it went much better. I installed following horizontal lines and you can see some variations in the carpet tile but I desperately needed a fast solution to pull out some old and stained carpet in the house I recently purchased. In a cabin this will do well until I decide to install laminate or thicker carpet. It would be good for basements, rec rooms but I'd go with something thicker for a living room. For the price it can't be beat. You do need to get into the flow of installing to get it to look seamless. And follow the directions and look up YouTube videos on finding the centre of the room with a chalk line. It was a bit confusing to me but I eventually figured it out. The first room I was in a rush and just started at one wall and the results were okay but imperfect and it takes some practice so I would recommend practicing first in a closet or area that isn't high traffic until you get the hang of it.

quick fix
so i bought this for the extra play room that we had added on for the kiddos. I read the other reviews first and was somewhat worrried about the adhesive not being sticky enough however the every square I put down had a really good amount of adhesive, actually I had to sometimes fight with the back paper to get it off because there was so much. It was easily enough to do though so that is a plus. My biggest disappoiintment was the color is definitely not consistent. Mine actually had three different shades of squares -light, dark and darker, so I probably should have tried to do some kind of pattern, but did not. My eye sight is poor so I really didn't notice it too much as I was doing the process but the over finish you can surely see the variations of color. The pieces are very thin so don't expect them to be plush. But regardless, it was a quick fix and cheap enough so I am pleased with the outcome. On a side note if you have any kind of OCD,, then I would recommend you do a pattern for the variations of color.

Worked perfectly
The media could not be loaded. Super easy to install super easy to cut. I used a box cutter and it went through like butter, easy to sweep, and easy to vacuum, the tiles do not come up with the vacuum. I have a pretty good basil vacuum they did not come up. I absolutely love walking into my garage and not feeling the cold floor, I will definitely also recommend these maybe in a laundry room or a kids room definitely will be ordering more. I have them in the garage and even though it’s so hot in there they are stuck and not coming up or apart.

You're getting what you pay for.
I bought these carpet tiles to use as part of an SUV campervan conversion. I put them over a plywood structure to smooth out its surface and ensure nothing could catch on any splinters. They worked perfectly. They are STUPIDLY easy to install. Literally just pull off the paper backing and the adhesive is right there, ready to be laid down. I'd read reviews about how adhesive these things were and how you shouldn't lay them down until you're absolutely positive they're in the right position or you risk not being able to remove them - I didn't have that issue. Of course, I would lay down just an edge to ensure it was in position and I wouldn't compress the whole tile against the board (then that might be a different story) but it's certainly not an all-or-nothing matter. Once I actually compressed the tiles in place, they were sturdy and set in place. I gave these a 5* rating on their adhesion and installation process, and a 3* on their thickness. In terms of thickness, these are super thin. Don't expect them to cushion a surface because they don't, they merely cover it (which is what I wanted, so I was happy, but can appreciate that that's not every persons intent). ***SO MANY reviews say that within 1 or 2 boxes of these tiles they found different colours. The tiles are NOT different colours, they're DIRECTIONAL. I laid out a couple and from one angle, some appeared way darker and others appeared way lighter. But just flip them around so that they all appear the same colour from each direction and the problem is solved.***

PERFECT! Description is absolutely accurate!
Easy peasy to install! Look good and so far are holding up to everything we throw at them. They are easy to cut as well for those odd corners etc. Will be purchasing more to finish a hallway in the upper of our house.
