Really like these for my cat

These work well for me and my cat. They come four rolls to a box and are easy to separate from the roll. I've used them now for several months and had no issues with them breaking. However, I'd like to see each bag be a little longer. If my cat has had a busy day in her box, it's a little hard to tie them off due to fullness. I can't imagine these would be workable for any dog other than a small one for just that reason.

Good Idea; Terrible Product

I bought these bags as a way to be more eco-conscious with my pet waste. The packaging of this bag states "strong & durable." WRONG! These bags literally rip apart at a feather's touch. First, trying to rip a bag away from the roll almost ALWAYS causes a tear somewhere along the edge - i.e., the bottom of the bag, making it totally useless. I am EXTREMELY cautious ripping these bags from the roll, going slowly and delicately centimeter by centimeter trying not to exert too much pressure to cause a tear. Almost impossible. If it DOES rip apart, which is usually does, the bag is useless and you have to throw it away and try again (not eco friendly) or you have to tie a knot in the bottom of the bag - wasting some much-needed waste space. If, by a miracle, you successfully get the bag off the roll, it will usually rip when you are delicately trying to separate the sides to open it. And then, if you happen to get it open without a rip, the pressure of putting the waste slowly in the bag with a scooper can cause it to rip down the sides, again making the bag totally useless and requiring a second bag - starting the whole process all over again. It's a total nightmare every time I have to do litter box duty. If I get one bag out of 10 that works, I feel lucky. TERRIBLE. If I could give this ZERO stars, I would. I haven't even used up one roll in the box and I feel like throwing them ALL away - NOT eco friendly. It was a great idea to make a compostable bag but this product just DOES NOT WORK. I even had to put my pet's waste (in one of their ripped bags) inside an old food container just to get it to the waste bin. Again, NOT eco friendly. And my pet is not super large - a cat. If you had a big dog, good luck!!! Total waste of money. Now have to go to a local store to get a different supply of waste bags.

Sturdy and reliable

I like these bags for my two cats for the above-stated reasons. Since there is litter that is removed together with urine and feces, most bags that I've used in the past occasionally burst and I end up cleaning the used litter from the floor. The Naturezway bags aren't pretty but a reliable utilitarian product that you can depend on.

Unusable

You can't even tear off a bag without it shredding. Totally unusable.

compostable waste bags

To all future purchasers- this bag is considered thin, if you are used to a thick bag, and thick is what you are looking for. I was looking for something that composts and biodegrades. Thick will not give you those two properties. If you handle these bags like a toddler, and rip them like a toddler, then yes, it will tear unevenly, or rip down the sides. I purchased 20 of these boxes from my local grocery store (at 50% off of of $4, which brought the total $40 for 1,200 bags!) to and noticed those happening. However, I LOVE the idea of these and have ripped them more gentle ever since. I have a 10lbs dog, and I'm sure that makes the difference in my utility of these. A bigger dog will produce larger poop to put into these bags, obviously. If you choose to purchase these bags, just go in knowing the thinness and adjust your grip accordingly. They are worth the environment.

Waste of money

Very thin and tear easily

In order to avoid tearing the bottom of the bag, I have to tear these over the edge of a counter. I just placed an order for a different Brand of 100% compostable, biodegradable pet waste bags. Hopefully they'll come out with a stronger version of this one soon!
