Will do the job

I was disappointed that the handle was a returned item. I'm sure it was returned because some chrome was damaged and the package was torn open. It worked fine, I could have spent a little less for a plain one. A little disappointed. Too much trouble to return.

It works

The bar was too long so i had to cut it down a bit but that was my mistake. The lock doesn't operate very smooth but other than that it works just fine

Does what I needed it to do.

Great product in relation to it's quality. Only problem is that it didn't have a hole in the shaft to install the knob on the inside of the door. All I needed to do was slide the inside knob onto the shat and mark where the hole should be and drill a hole through the shaft. No big deal, but it did take more time to install it. Works just fine.

Great as a replacement canopy lock

I have a Mazda B2000 with a canopy mounted on its bed. The previous owner had lost the key to the canopy back hatch lock. Since the lock was also not in the best shape because of rust, I decided to look around for a full lock replacement. The specs and pictures were close enough to the original for me to have a high level of confidence that it would fit. Replacement entailed drilling out pop rivets fastening the old lock to the hatch and fixing the new lock back in place with rivets.. If doing this replacement you would need access to a pop rivet gun. The square sectioned shaft was longer than the original, but could be cut to size with a hacksaw without too much difficulty. The new lock has been installed now for about 3 years without any problems. It has held up well to the elements (the truck is parked outside) with minimal rust/corrosion and co peeling of the plating. For the price (about $3) you would be hard pressed to find a fix for your canopy door for less.

Good Lock/T-Handle. Requires Counterbore/Clearance hole

I bought this before checking around local stores and didn't pull mine off first to see what it looked like under the face plate. When I went to install I found the design underneath to be different than mine. The National Hardware would require a .850 dia x .300 deep counterbore in the garage door to fit. Probably a detail that should be mentioned. I searched more and found that Menards had an exact match for a little more 7.79 plus tax. 3/8 to 7/16 dia clearance hole is all that's needed. The National Lock looks great and felt durable. The teeth on the key seemed more simple than the ones on the Ideal Door one I picked up at Menards but I'll bet either one would likely be easy to pick. Neither one came with screws, I was able to use the existing ones. I would recommend using stainless steel screws. I was going to post pictures for more clarity but I see no option.

Works great to replace accordion L locks

I used these to replace the , L-locks on my accordion shutters. After 10 years the cheap cast L-lock handles started to deteriorate from the Florida sun. These are less than $10 compared to the $20 for replacement L-locks. The mounts fit perfectly flush with existing screw holes and I added zinc machine screws and doubled up on nylock nuts to keep the locks on tight. Only issue is I had to cut 2" of the pin with a grinder to make flush. Reuse hook and plastic sleeve.

Lacks installation hardware

only sent 2 really short metal screws for mounting. Not enough hardware sent with product to do the job. I had to run to a hardware store to get what I needed to install the handle.

Solid lock

Someone tried pretty hard to brake the lock with no success. Looks like they tried prying on the handle to make it turn and the handle broke before the lock did. Exactly what you want to happen. Just bought another one!

Versatile, durable, and good value

Worked great to replace my truck cap glass t-handle. This product doesn’t come with hardware, so when I was installing I drilled the existing two holes up a size to fit my hardware. This was easy to do and the new handle didn’t crack or break from drilling.
