Great for home too!

After looking them at a hotel room I decided to buy some for home. I was hesitant because I didn't want a hotel/commercial look, but the sound of the door knob hitting the wall and the marks it left was worst No regrets! They are barely noticeable because all my home appliances are stainless steel, also door knobs, so they blend well (and you only see them if the door is closed and you're inside the room). Used like 8 of these at home for all rooms and bathrooms, even outdoors at the terrace and no issues with oxide after a heavy raining season. You just need to be careful to stop screwing in the right moment to avoid loosing them. Don't worry, just unscrew a little bit and screw them again. Only at the main door I used something different (a white plastic/rubber like half-sphere with adhesive in the back) since it is exposed and always visible at the living room, it blends with the white walls and nobody notices it.

Brushed nickel look alike to match door knobs is good The rubber is hard, wish I could find the same look with softer rubber- Why? softens the blow to the wall and blunts the noise

GOOD DOORSTOP

I received and mounted one of the Door Stops this afternoon. It's well constructed and seems to perform it's function admirably. The unit comes with a single screw and a plastic anchor. In my case, my walls are sheet rock and I'm not sure if that plastic anchor would remain in place after being wacked by a door a few hundred times and I got lucky and discovered a 2x4 in the correct spot so I didn't use the plastic anchor, I just sunk the included screw into the 2x4. If I hadn't hit wood, I would have purchased a molly bolt or a toggle bolt to mount the door stop. 4 Stars because of the cheap plastic anchor. All in all, I'm happy with the door stop although I really don't want to admit that my life has sunk to the all time low of rating door stops.

excellent!

Very happy with this! It seems like something silly to review. A door bumper. But I will say...I'm remodeling my home and those door stoppers that make that hilarious sound did tons of damage to my wall and my door. Seems weird right? Plus, they kept falling out. Found this guy, it's perfect! Stays in the wall, does ZERO damage to anything! And I get a full swing to the door. Excellent product. Please keep in mind the size when you buy it. I got a 1" one without realizing it the first time. It's like a belly button. I used it on a different door (bedroom) instead of my front door. Bigger is better for the front door. :)

Nice door stop...it may not fit all applications.

This is a good looking door/wall stop. For me, I give this 3 stars due to the size not working for my application. This may sound unfair but other than that I'd give it a 4 star rating. If you are looking at using this doorstop on wall to floor trim, it may be too high to fit. On my application, the stop extends about an inch and a half past the trim. I wanted to put it on the bottom of the wall for an odd bathroom door. My fault for not doing all the measuring. At the same time, my house has regular contractor trim installed. Nothing fancy. You can get it at the big box. All I'm saying is just make sure to check the size of this stop and measure your trim height if you are looking at this as a door stop for the bottom of the door...and don't want to attach it to the door.

Had a nickle size hole in my wall. Patched it and put this over it. Works great.
