Heavy duty and fit the wheels perfectly.
I went with the solid tires on Amazon. Happy with the way it turned out.

Allowed me to build a mechanism to electrically ring a 138 year old farm bell.
I used this and other parts to fabricate a means to electrically ring a 138 year old cast iron farm bell. Alexa, ring the bell.

Fine as long as you don’t need it to be perfectly straight.
Pros: Listed length and O.D. accurate. Zinc plating done well and good coverage. Cons: Not straight. Pinch cut ends aren’t round. TLDR:: Overall, rod dimensions are as - listed. I didn’t intend to use this as a spinning axle so the 2-3mm wobble (over entire rod length) wasn't an issue. It’ll work fine as a fixed shaft or spindle that doesn’t rotate with attachments. The rod appears to be cut with hydraulic cutter hence the ends aren’t round. As long as you don’t need the entire length and plan to cut the smooshed ends this shouldn’t be an issue.

It’s ok ish
Not very accurate diameter on the ends and I’m guessing that’s bc of the cut, but they could have at least fixed it before they shipped it out. The rest of the rod was good tho so I guess that’s a plus.

Helpful
I don't understand why people get "helpful" votes for saying things like "It worked great!". Anyway. It worked for my application of replacing a 5/8" hand truck axle. CUTTING TECHNIQUE THAT I USED: I will iterate it in an instructional way for simplicity’s sake. 1. Mark the rod 2. Place the rod in the groove on a table saw where a fence would go. (Unless you have a vice, but I did not) 3. Clamp it against one side of the groove with 3-4 clamps. 4. Allow around 3 inches or so between your mark and the edge of the table. 5. Cut with a hacksaw. Any type of hacksaw works, I experimented with several types. 6. Use canned air or whatever to clear the metal shavings. 7. Lubricate with silicone. (I don’t know if that’s dangerous or not but it worked for me and nothing exploded or caught fire) 8. Feel free to change your cutting angle as desired. 9. Use a flat metal file on the end of the rod to make it level/remove burs after you finish cutting. Drilling cotter pin holes: Measure it, Clamp it, mark it, drill it. Use a good drill bit. Keep in mind that even the best of drill bits can be broken when drilling these sort of holes through metal. I created these techniques after: watching YouTube videos, browsing message boards, reading legitimate instructional books, and consulting a friend who works as locksmith(drilling and cutting metal is a daily task, ex. apparatus destruction, and equipment fabrication). Bam real life advice. Don't listen to these other yahoo's

Does not fit through 5/8" Collar Clamps or Pillow Bearings!!!!
I'm not sure if the zinc plating is the cause, but I bought 2 of these rods along with the associated & recommended (with this item - from Amazon) 5/8" Collar Clamps and 5/8" Pillow Bearings; in all I bought 8 Pillow Bearings and 16 collar clamps that are USELESS!!! THE ROD WILL NOT GO THROUGH THE BEARINGS OR CLAMPS!!! They look like they'll go together, but even after using a hammer to try fitting this rod through the clamps and pillow bearings; they ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT! I gave all high ratings due to the strength and quality feel of this rod. Not sure what to do...

Got 2, one off size
Purchased 2 to build carriage for old scaffolding. One went together with wheels, collars and nuts just fine. Second was slightly oversize requiring grinding to achieve the correct size.

Good Rod
It is a good rod, I will be using it to give support to the frame of a portable car shelter which I bent when being too aggressive with ratchet straps, I will just hose clamp it to the outside of the pipe as apposed to inserting it inside the pipe, it will be better than using my 1/2" breaker bar. It took me 2 attempts to get this, the first time I was delivered an empty box and that boggles my mind, this time I met the delivery driver at my door to make sure I was actually receiving what I paid for.

Rod was smooth and perfect for the intended application.
It was perfect for what I needed it for. I used it on a riding lawnmower to hold the break and clutch pedals as well as the mower deck hangers. Several bushings slid over the rod which I cut to length.
