Great Small-Medium Gate Latch

This has done the job perfectly. I needed a small gate latch for a gate to my porch that I did not have to use two hands to open. The old latch was a slide type and I would have to lift the gate slightly to take the tension off the slide to open it. This is not handy when you are carrying something. This replaced it easily with the enclosed screws- it took five minutes tops. Now it's a simple one handed operation to open and practically self locking. It's versatile and somewhat forgiving of sag. The receiving part is about 1.5" on each side, the bar is .5" wide where the screw holes are.

It's Okay, I Guess

It's fine for what it is. What's annoying is that after a month of use, the black coating's already chipped off the keeper bar. Looks a little trashy, now. Spend more for something that won't scrape off.

Easy to install, very strong and secure

I used these for gates I have on my deck for when I need to keep my dogs contained. They work great. You do not have to slam the gate to get them to latch and once they are latched, there's no danger of the gate accidentally being bumped open.

Don't order this

The item received was NOT what is pictured......TWICE! I returned it the first time, thinking it was just a simple error and requested it to be replaced with the correct item. I received the exact same incorrect item again the second time. After this second error, I returned the item for a refund.

Differs from the picture..

The actual product is not even similar to the picture. I received only the part that you have to affix to the moving part of the fence (the door) and it's very different from the picture, it's more bold and you have to buy the other part (the one that wraps) separately.

Exactly what I needed

It seems quite impossible to find pintles elsewhere online. Especially when you don't know what they're called. I needed to put up a gate and these were exactly what I needed.
