The "oatmeal" color is very yellowish
I wanted raffia on a spool for a few projects bc the kind I have is just too stringy, tangled and uneven to work with. I went with "oatmeal" color because the Kraft & black colors are $17 & $15 as opposed to $8 -$10 like all the others.. I also hoped it'd be just a light kraft batural color. I started by wrapping a black canvas to make texture art and thought it looked extremely yellow. Got out my other real raffia from craft store and the Hawain luau from dollar store (hoping it was that color) to compare & deffinatly yellow toned. May be hard to tell in photos but even included masking tape to help show the color. Now I'm stuck with a whole spool... maybe I can bleach it? Hope this helps someone bc it's not "oatmeal" colored.

Good Quality Paper Raffia - Great for Gift Wrap
I'm very happy with this and would buy again. Buying items like this online can be risky for me because quality and texture is hard to discern in photos, and I'm picky. I also really dislike returning things, so I usually eat the cost of things that aren't up to my standards. Thank goodness this was exactly what I wanted! I'd bought some similar raffia at a craft store before buying this, and while that ribbon, I prefer this. because it's more consistent in texture and width and has a higher quality look overall. I use raffia as a ribbon around a kraft tuck box as gift wrap for my online shop. I wanted something natural and biodegradable - I hate contributing excess plastic waste to our waterways. It's a bonus that the quality is higher and the cost is the same to what I was using before.

Used to tie cards on bags for wedding hotel guest bags
I liked the durability of the ribbon. i was not sure how I was going to tie the cards that we backed with second hard colored card stock on the bag. input 2 whole punching my first try. I pulled the ribbon in and out of the wholes and it did not shred at all it was very durable. a lot of ribbon would of been trash after the first or second pull thru of the holes and tie and untie.ultimately i found what i liked the best and the durability of the ribbon was great it could of been another frustrating task if it fell apart. thanks for a nice product sorry i don't have a picture maybe i can add one later.

Bright, cheerful, go-to red shade - great quality paper ribbon.
This is true paper raffia/wraphia ribbon. One spool goes a long way! Berwick matte paper ribbon is the only type I use to gift wrap my customer's orders. This particular red option "IMPERIAL RED" is best described as a bright, cheerful, candy apple red. It was ideal for Christmas wrapping, although I would have preferred it to be a little deeper (like fire engine?) -- but it was great. I plan on ordering it again for my Valentines day gift wrapping. My ONLY complaint is that the color seen online is a bit inconsistent in re: to the actual ribbon color. For instance, I had ordered Berwick "Olive" one year (loved it - a lime/bright green olive color), and when I reordered the same item - it was more muted and a sage color. The photo for Imperial Red looks a little more orange than it really is. Count on Imperial Red being a vivid, versatile basic red.

Good product!
I have made a beach bag using the green ribbon for the bottom and the flowers, the gold for the rest of the bag. The gold color looses the brilliance when crocheting, it may look brownish. But I liked the effect anyway. I used a 4.5 mm hook and 4.5 rolls. The ribbon looks sturdy but I will be able to tell after some time using the bag. I will buy for more projects.

Love this product!
I love this and have used it for so many things a d there is still a ton of it left. Sometimes the standard shiny curling ribbon just isn’t what works in a scenario. Thank you.

I Could be Wrong...
I bought this to wrap around / glue to a miniature oatmeal canister. My idea was to use white to cover it and then use a dark blue to do a tie-around & bow. The finished project was supposed to look like something you'd buy at a fancy furniture store; a 'rustic looking' yet severely overpriced vase, if you will. This was my first time working with raffia ribbon. I could be wrong, but this seems to twist really easily. It was flat on the roll and the instant I started unrolling it to wrap around the canister it began twisting up. In my eyes, that makes me need double the raffia because it doesn't flatten so it covers half of the surface area.

Excellent product.
The colour was exactly what I was looking for. It's difficult getting olive green raffia. It's good quality for crafting projects.
