It’s a motor, it does it’s job.

I bought this as a replacement for my Senton 3s BLX motor. It’s a motor, it does it’s job. The last one I had suffered from a bearing failure, after about 11 months of weekly use. The bearings are tricky to remove, but it’s possible. It works. It’s a good motor.

Price NOT Justified by Quality

I own an Arrma Senton 3S BLX which came stock with this motor. I already had an issue with the original motor which I acknowledged in my review of the Senton. The motor broke within 2 weeks of owning the car (second time running it within that time frame). I purchased this motor as a replacement for the original hoping it was just a fluke, but unfortunately I'm now convinced these are poor quality motors. The new one lasted a little bit longer this time, but still it's only been in the car for about 2 months and has been ran roughly every other weekend. The issue is the exact same each time. There is a bearing that stabilizes the shaft coming out of the motor. That bearing has shredded into pieces causing the gears to lock up due to misalignment. In turn, the inside of the motor is no longer sealed once this happens, and it gets incredibly dirty in places that it shouldn't be. While this issue is a small one, and it can likely be addressed if stronger bearings were used, it's unfortunately too expensive to keep replacing. The speed and power of this motor is impressive, which is why I gave it 2 stars. 5 stars for power 3 stars for price 0 stars for durability I will not be buying this motor again, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

REPLACE THE BEARINGS!!!!

I haven't bought one of these from here BUT I have a Granite and Typhon 3s with these motors and I have a couple backups. This motor RIPS. It's capable of speeds past 60mph with the right gearing. NOW, if you haven't noticed with the reviews about the motor seizing up that is due to the aweful stock bearing that come in it and I would argue all of the Spektrum motors. REPLACE THE BEARINGS guys!! The sizes are 5x13x4 and 5x16x5. I opted for rubber shielded bearings because dirt is what gets inside of them and blows them up. I haven't had an issue on mine since adding new bearings and I've been running each rig for 20 packs or so with the rubber shielded bearings (TRB). I hope Amazon lets this review get posted and hopefully helps some of ya'll out! The motor itself is awesome, it's just the bearings that blow up which ruin it.

Great motor, but you must seal it

This motor has lots of torque and speed for a 1/10 scale rc. Very responsive with minimal cogging. It does have one major flaw, but it is also easy to remedy if you are aware of it. When you mount this motor you will use screws in 2 holes to mount it. The other 4 holes are left open, allowing a little bit of dust/dirt/debris to get inside and that trashes the bearing. You can order flat head screws are 3x4mm from here or ebay for very little cost. Put one 3x4mm flat head screw with blue locktite in each of the unused holes (4 total) to seal out dirt and debris, saving your bearing from breaking down and destroying the motor. Very responsive high quality motor that lasts a long time once you protect the end bearing.

Seized motor and horrible service

Motor was bad right out of the box and the seller wants to give me a hard time about it. Customer service is horrible. And this particular motor is trash. My arrma typhon came with this motor and it siezed up within two months of owning it and then this one is seized out of the box. Apparently there is a issue with them.
