Comfortable and versatile

Bought two for gifts. They love them. The vivid color. The versatility (sleeves up or down) cool yet cover from the sun.

Comfy

Great multi purpose shirt. Great for being outdoors and protecting from the sun, but also casual dressy enough to wear somewhere kind of nice. Hubby said it's super comfortable and fits true to size. Washed and dried well.

Love it. Lots of design elements. Reminds me of Travelsmith. Only a few complaints

I have some fishing shirts from Columbia and Magellan, which I love, vented, breathable fabric. But this Mossy Oak shirt really has a lot more design elements, reminds me more of Travelsmith. -Has a breathable layer of mesh throughout yoke and down back. The double layer actually helps with cooling, wicking sweat away, keeping you dry. -Reinforced collar and buttons. -Lots of vents in back and shoulders, for cooling. -Fabric has a LOT of flex. -Two chest pockets, with little drainage holes -A loop on the pocket for sunglasses, and a velcro strap above the pocket for more storage. -Fabric has UV protection. -Quick drying fabric, great for beach, any water sport, day at the amusement park. I think these kinds of shirts are ideal for travel. The fit and style are fantastic as well. I got the cool blue, which is really sky blue, a great color. Keep in mind lighter colors will stain easier, and this material is tough to get stains out. I'm normally an XL (6 ft tall male, size 48 sport coat). But I got a XXL based on recommendations on other reviews. Actually I find their sizing pretty accurate - I could go either way. I don't mind things a little baggy so the XXL will work, but the XL would have probably worked as well. The collar is a little loose. Length is great. My complaints: I wish it weren't 100% synthetic, I would have preferred cotton + elastic instead of all nylon. They stain easily - my previous nylon shirt like this got sweat stained around the collar and arms, just from normal wear outside, and the stains will not come out. Also, ironing these is very tricky, since the nylon will melt. You can steam them, of put a damp towel on top of it and iron it through the towel. And unless you do something like that, it will always have a slightly wrinkled look to it. Finally, while the price doesn't seem out of line compared to Travelsmith shirts, I see competing brands offering similar products for $29-39. I don't know if they're the same quality, so I can't really comment until I try more brands. Overall though I love it, giving it a solid 4.5 stars.

Very nice fishing shirt but will stain.

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. This is a very comfortable fishing shirt, which could easily double as a travel shirt. Tucked in, it even would work under a sport coat if needed. The fabric is very soft and comfortable. The fit is true to size. However, a couple of things keep me from giving this shirt 5 stars. One is the very prominent logo on the back of the shirt; the other is that the fabric will hold a stain despite being a nylon-spandex blend. While cooking, I had some grease spatter, as one might when cooking out in the open, and the tiny oily stain did not entirely come out in the wash. The same oil got on my nylon pants and those pants did not hold the stain. Major pluses: comfortable good fit button down collar, looks sharp in the front, good features for fishing or travel or being in the field. Squared bottom good for outside the pants wearing. Sleeves roll up and have button to hold in place. Minuses: fabric will hold a stain. Logo on back turns you into a walking ad. Unusual feature: a microfiber wipe is sewn into the bottom hem. Might be a minus if you get grit on it and wipe your sunglasses, but it's an interesting feature.

True to Size, Cool to the Touch, Breathes Well

The primary reason this isn't 5 stars is that I feel the price ($44 at the time of this review) is a bit high. I'm also not a huge fan of the blue lettering for the branding, but that's pretty minor. Otherwise, this is an excellent shirt. This shirt fits well (I am an athletic build- 180lbs, 61, and a 42-44 jacket size, 16-1/2 neck size on dress shirts). At my height, the arms are the right length, the neck isn't tight, and the shirt isn't a snug or muscle fit. This does a great job at blocking the sun and breathes well. There is a mesh chute that runs up the back that is connected to some vents on the back of the shirt. That's not a great description, but the best I can do. This might be a bit overkill because it seems like the fabric already breaths pretty well, but I'm not complaining. This material is thin enough (physically-- you can't see through it or anything) that it does wrinkle if you look at it wrong, but this is for fishing, you're not wearing this to church. Overall, that's it. If the price was $5-10 lower, I think this would be a 5 star review. As is, i think it's a 5 star shirt at a 4 star price. if you don't mind the price (or the blue lettering on the back shoulder blade), then you will love this shirt.
