Strong

After a few uses I would say it is a good quality clamp. It is very strong and operates smoothly along the bar. The one downside was converting it from a clamp to a spreader. The push button did not release the end to just slide off. I had to use a hammer to pop off the end. I assumed I might be breaking it in the process. Good news is, I didn't break it, and it now works as a spreader, but the transition from clamp to spreader is not easy or without worry. After several transitions it became a little easier, but still requires a hammer tap.

A beast of a clamp

I saw one of these converted to a hydraulic coupling tool and since the already converted tool is so expensive, I decided to make my own. Basically when hydraulic implements are attached and detached from skid loaders and other tool carriers, pressure can build as the temps change and when you go to re-attach, the couplings cannot be pressed together by hand. The solution was to open the fitting slightly letting pressure out. That makes a little mess and takes tools and time. This works great with its high 600 pound rating and presses the fitting together without a fuss.

Tough clamp for any job!

These clamps are easy to use, very well constructed, have a great amount of holding power, and are easy to use even with one hand. I have several of these clamps in different sizes. I plan on buying more for bigger projects.

A very, very, very sturdy and decent designed product

My application is a little bit creative... I use it to clip my Ducati's 190mm tire so I can uh... break the bead and install a new valve stem. It actually worked. I'm pleasantly surprised that it has the force powerful enough to clip and break the bead for a considerably wide Michelin tire. Anyway, Irwin makes good product, doesn't matter where it is made, I'm ok for expensive item as long as it worked.

Clamps down!

This set of clamps is larger than my prior sets. Hope that will provide better grip. I have found Irwin clamps much better than the cheaper knockoffs. This set is bigger and weighs slightly more than my older sets. The extra weight and larger size makes them slightly harder to use. I tend to use my older ones first. Can you ever have enough clamps?

IRWIN heavy duty.....!!! 24" clamp.

As expected , great clamps from Irwin , which by the way are massive . See in pic the difference in size compared to the medium duty clamp. 'One can never have enough clamps' is the saying ... So getting to the point slowly when I have a wall full of clamps and I could say that to somebody....

Shoddy construction

The tip just won't reverse. It comes off just fine so you can reattach it in the reversed position, on the opposite side, but no matter how you put it back in, it won't lock in place. Very disappointing. On top of that, to return it, I have to go a few kilometers out of my way to bring it to Purolator's dropbox location. Not great either. Kind of a hassle, if you ask me. I cannot recommend this product.

Buenas prensas pero no era lo que esperaba

Compre estas prensas por que ya conozco la calidad de Irwin, pero cuando la compre la foto mostraba o engañaba que parte de la manija o cuerpo eran de metal, lo que me daba un buen estimulo saber que el producto si tendría más presión de agarre por ser más robustas, pero la sorpresa fue que al abrir el producto, lo único de metal era el riel sobre el que corren las pinzas, anexo foto para que vean que es lo que compran, en general no las regrese porque las conseguí a muy buen precio, pero con el precio actual de más de mil pesos me la pensaría dos veces. Producto fabricado en China según las especificaciones de Irwin.
