Decent 50ft cable(achieves 10Gbps link)
If you're doing Gigabit(1Gbps) speeds or don't even know the speed you have, go buy a Cat5e cable or Cat6 at most please. Even Cat6 *should* get you up to 10Gbps at this length IF all your other hardware is capable of it(it isn't unless you went out of your way to get it). The reason I got this Cat6a instead is because of that "should," many cable makers are skimping on the Cat6 standard because you're all buying it for gigabit speeds that Cat5e already achieves and has for many years. So if the above is you, don't spend the extra money on this, you'll save possibly half the price. I don't have much other cat6a to compare to, and from the cut apart cable posted by another reviewer the shielding looks solid. It's certainly a bit thicker than my cat5e(as it should be) it replaced to achieve 10Gbps, which it claims to have in Windows network properties. I'm currently waiting on SSD caching for my NAS(6 drives, RAID6, ZFS), so the best I've achieved was around 1.6Gbps in actual usage PC NVMe to NAS. I may even set up a speed test between my PC and NAS and update this, but that's as much as I have at the moment. Also knocked a star on the sturdiness because it doesn't feel particularly amazing, but is certainly fine for any around the house, SOHO, etc. average use.

100FT 24AWG Cat6A
Used for installation of AP's during network upgrade at my church. Very well made and being pre-terminated made the job that much easier. Good quality cable and can't beat the price.

Purple isn't bright like Amazon's photo
Cable seems fine but don't expect a clean bright purple color. It's more like purple mixed with charcoal. Hey Monoprice if you're going to offer colors - make them bright and colorful, not drab.

Good Cat6a Cable
I recently helped a friend out with running cat6a cables around his house for smartifying his home. He got his cables from Monoprice, so I followed in his footsteps and bough the 5ft, 7ft, and 10ft cat6a patch cables. I did so to standardize the cables that I had running from my router to my computers and my server at home, while trying to prepare for incoming fiber installations for my home. So for the hardware of this wire I tore it down and took some pictures to find out what was the quality of the cables I bought. I found that it was as expected, Shielded(foil around wires), Twisted Pair(wires twisted to reduce crosstalk), Shielded RJ45 Connector(more grounding protection), and Snagless Boot. The RJ45 connector is however linear as seen in the picture. I wasn't able to adequately test the capabilities of this cable for networking. I'm limited to a transfer rate of 1gbps for my applications and with my testing so far it performs well in transferring 1gbps. For PoE(Power over ethernet) applications it works well when going through a PoE injector for powering devices like an AP(Access Point for Wifi). With the cable I was able to do PoE for my U6-LR that I run for my home. In conclusion, I would personally recommend this cable. But as stated the RJ45 connector is linear instead a zig-zag pattern and that has the potential to increase crosstalk. This cable is of good quality and the shielding is there. As for other bundled cat6a cables on Amazon I didn't find any of them to have the zig-zag RJ45 connector. The only way I saw to get that, was to buy a bundle of 100 RJ45 connectors and build the cables yourself. With this experience, I would recommend this cable and I will be buying from this same company again.

Good bandwidth, shielded connectors
Received 50' 6A cable as specified with shielded connectors. Haven't been able to verify 10gbs but cleanly handling 800+ mbs. Cable feels substantial, didn't dismantle, slightly stiff but not unduly.

High quality.
I have been making my own CAT6 cables for years, but recently I upgraded my network from the NIC through to the modem. While re-crimping my patch panel I decided I wanted to color code WAN, LAN LAG, and management console. I ordered two red (I have two ISPs) to go from the modem’s 2.5Gbe port to my router’s 2.5Gbe port. I ordered two green cables to go from my router’s LAG ports to the LAG ports I assigned on my switch. Lastly I ordered a single purple line to go from my central switch (hub and spoke {star} network) to a USFF pc with a 2.5Gbe port. Removing all of the bottlenecks allowed me to get speeds at or above my gigabit plan (access to the overprovisioned speeds). This is not typical and should not be expected. The slowest link in my network between the internet and my desktop is the 2Gbps LAG. Anyway, when I used standard CAT6 I couldn’t get above 920Mbps. Once I swapped those cables out for these I was pulling 1100Mbps. It’s not much but it tells me there was definitely a little bit of a lag between my modem and router or between the switch and the router or in both legs. Either way I know how a color coded connection and know not to pull the red cable unless I plan to reset the network or change my modem or router. These cables are stiff so I wouldn’t use them as field cables. Even though they’re only five feet or so they are definitely set it and forget it, backbone, vertical run type of cables.

It works well and has Excellent support behind it
I have purchased many of these types of cables in varying sizes from this vendor. In 9 out 10 cases, I have had no issue in deployment of the cables. They represent the best value you can get for Shielded Cat 6A cables. They have improved my existing network performance over regular Cat 5e (although cables were of different brands and do it yourself mix). All I need now is to upgrade my networking gear to handle speeds with which these cables are designed for. If you do run into troubles, the vendor has had no problems in issuing a speedy replacement. The shielding will keep the pesky electro-magnetic-interference (EMI) from outside sources like microwaves and walkie - talkies. Have fun, increase your bandwith and enjoy the better bits broadcasting through these cables.

CAT5E marketed as CAT6A?
The wires in the connector are flat. This does not match CAT6A staggered wiring specs. Flat RJ45 connector has a higher probability of crosstalk. I'm disappointed to see a respectable brand trying to save two cents by misleading customers.

Shield Connection is Resistive.
I purchased several of these cables in different lengths to test for myself the quality of Monoprice cables. Based on the many positive reviews I was expecting an above average build and performance, but I was sadly disappointed. All the cables failed the shield end to end resistance test. It seems that these cables are missing the required soldered drain wire connection and instead are only being crimped. Without a proper shield connection they are just a waste of wire!

Do not buy. This is not 24 or 26 awg.
It is perhaps a 30 r 32 awg badly made. And all the striped cables are white so it is very confusing. This is a rip-off. I've built 100s of cables and used all kind of quality cables etc. This is the worse. I even tested the speed and I don't think it is a Cat6a.

I bought 100ft 24AWG cable but received 100ft 26AWG cable :(
I removed one star because I bought the 100ft 24AWG cable but received 100ft 26AWG cable. I specifically bought the Monoprice cable because it said 24AWG when a lot of their competitors were listing 26AWG cable. Cable quality seems very nice, ran it through the walls in my house right next to electrical cable and zero issues, very nice speed.
