Inaccurate
Bought 2. The TVOC and CO2 readings were substantially different. Ordered a third to replace one that was apparently off-all three are wildly different in TVOC and CO2 readings. The only two air quality components we are truly concerned with.

This device SAVED my indoor air quality
I had one for a year, but began seeing suspiciously high TVOCs when my furnace turned on. So I got a second one, then performed the TVOC calibration in the app, and they were within 20% ppb of each other consistently, which is actually quite good for TVOC sensing. The rest of the metrics were within 1%. BUT, I was still seeing high TVOCs correlated with my furnace turning on. After trying new filters, and venting rates, I finally tried to dehumidify the air intake into the furnace. BINGO. The TVOCs dropped to from a having peaks of 3000 ppb to about 400 ppb (its been a few weeks now). It turns out that our exceptionally cold and wet winter in California makes combustion of the humid air “run rich”, meaning that there was a higher fuel-to-air ratio. This leads to uncombusted hydrocarbons in the exhausted air. I am so glad I had this device to even know that this was a problem to fix.

Good looking, compact, and it works!
This device provides valuable feedback on air quality, has a decent and useful app for phones, and is compact and good looking. I purchased the Awair Element after my floors were sealed, kitchen cabinets painted (with oil paint), and all my walls were painted. I did not want to breath all that junk, so after letting the paint and floor cure for a week, I put Awair Element in my home to monitor the VOC levels. The feedback I received was useful and I didn't more back in until the air quality was safe. (It took about 3 weeks after painting for the home to get to safe levels. I aired the home out frequently during those weeks to help move things along. Even now after 3 months the kitchen cabinets are off gassing (they still stick a little), but there is enough air circulating in my home to keep the air well in the safe zone.)

The app is complete garbage, local API doesn't work
Notifications on their iOS app do not work. More importantly, they advertise this device as having a local API, but you can't enable it. The app shows a cryptic error when you try to enable it. No amount of configuring my LAN could resolve the error. I bought this device to use with Home Assistant. Without the local API, it's useless to me.

Displays valuable air monitoring
Smart device. Covers all the air quality parameters of interest to me. Be sure to check what the readouts mean on the app for each paramter. The display gives a quick sense of what's going on in a room. You can learn a lot about, for example, how cooking effects the kitchen etc air. I'm sensitive to air pollution so I have two of this located in the house.

Finally a good air quality detector
Crazy easy to set up - app works great. levels update regularly and make sense. seems accurate when compared to other high-end devices. small footprint. external display is nice. would easily recommend this. can be a nice, easy way to determine when to open windows and air things out a bit (CO2 high) or crank up the Winix (tVOCs high). will likely buy another one to put in another area of the home. update - bought a 2nd one for upstairs - tested it downstairs first for accuracty - 2nd one reads almost exactly the same as the 1st one = good! fantastic device.

I like my Awair Element device!
We have one in the master bedroom and one in our TV room. I really like these devices for the air quality information they supply, and it’s also a nice, easy to read digital clock!
