The hummers love this feeder
Easy to clean. Hummers love these feeders. I live in AZ. I have 10 in my yard and clean/refill them once a week. Hummer juice recipe: 1/4 cup white sugar. 3/4 cup water. Don’t use brown sugar, natural raw sugar or honey. These are bad for the birds..

Works. Rant to follow.
Works well for the hummingbirds at my new apartment complex. The complex has tons of people with hummingbird feeders so it did not take the birds too long to figure it out. It’s like you need to have your own feeder if you want to sign the lease. I read online that the sugar mix needs to be changed every 2-3 days. Other sources said 3-7 days. I don’t know if anyone has actually cultured the 3-day old mix for bacterial concentrations or if it’s just anecdotal evidence - the most supreme of all arguments. I’m assuming hummingbirds have immune systems so they can tolerate some bacteria. If 100% of hummingbirds lack an immune system…well I guess this is just evolution. This is mainly me venting off from having to read Grade D evidence on hummingbird feeders. Rant over. This feeder is nice because it forces me to clean it regularly and if I don’t, at least the mix is gone before it goes bad, because sure, I don’t want to be responsible for the birds dropping dead mid-flight. And my husband put my old cheap plastic one in the dishwasher and it melted. Maybe it was his way of saying he hates hummingbirds…or his way of saying, “Yes dear wife, please spend 3x more on an inconvenient feeder” and being the good spouse that I am, I surely did. The feeder is made of two small plastic cups, which will encourage human behavior of cleaning the feeder regularly. It’s A LOT easier to clean because there is no bottle neck- you just open it and clean it. No annoying soap bubbles (someone said soap is toxic to birds because it seeps into the plastic and you should only use vinegar (because weak acids clears away all microbes. BTW sugar attenuates acetic acid so no. Vinegar alone would not be effective)) and you can easily do mechanical removal which I would argue is more important. Seriously, if you want to properly clean things, you need something that could survive autoclave and even then... But vinegar? At least suggest bleach or isopropyl alcohol and mechanical removal (scrub that thing). I would even argue you don’t need a brush for this feeder because the width of the opening is like 1-2 cm thick. Very easy to clean. That said, you don’t have to worry about copper poisoning (which again I don’t know if that’s accurate or not). What are other options to plastic feeders? Glass? That could have lead. (Roll eyes). The BEST alternative to a feeder is getting real plants hummingbirds like. Which I did. I bought flowering plants just for the birds. Do they use them? Not at all. Plants also have microbes and immune systems in case you were wondering. First world problems. If you are interested in finding cheaper and better ways to feed the hummingbirds, try and find the youtube video of an elderly man in France who would call the hummingbirds and feed them from his kitchen. I think he used a plate/bowl.

Nice and small
Just put it out. Need to know if squirrels will break it. Not yet.

Bee-proof, and prettier than your average feeder
We have quite a few feeders around our house, but many get covered with bees when flowers are scarce. I wanted something to put outside my kitchen window that wouldn't attract bees and, because it is visible from the street, would add a little panache to my tree. This is a lovely feeder, and it definitely doesn't attract bees! The hummers found it after about 3 hours on day 1, and haven't had any issue finding it since then (in fact, the one in the picture has sort of taken it over and guards it from other male birds when they come????????‍♀️). It is really pretty--I was a little disappointed at the dullness of the hummer ornament and thought I had received a dud until I read the other review where someone said it's supposed to be that way--but the copper wrapped around the little plastic cups is shiny and lovely. All things being equal I would prefer a shiny ornament, but this will do. I was bummed that there are no perches because this is my entertainment while I'm doing dishes, but they just stand on the edge of the cups. The cups are small and plastic, with plastic lids that screw off. They're easy to clean and fill (you can likely throw them in the dishwasher on the top-rack, but they clean easily with vinegar and water). We replace the nectar daily (they usually drink all we put out anyway), and they come buzzing around my husband as soon as he steps out the door with it. We have no major complaints about this. It's easy to use, the birds seem to like it, and best of all...no bees! I have a few other copper items from this company that I got through the Vine program (not this one), and they've all been top-notch and still look great, so I am optimistic that this will stay nice as well. It's also reasonably priced considering the quality of the materials. I do recommend hanging this near a feeder they already use at first (if you have birds who regularly frequent your house) before moving it to another spot. As soon as a couple braved the newness and fed from it, we moved it to the other side of the house and it didn't take long for them to find it.

The hummingbirds like it
I would have given this item a 5 star review if it had come with one or two extra of the little cups. I purchased the single one earlier, and it came with an extra cup. Makes it so much easier to change them out. However, I knew when I ordered the double that it did not. For the price, would be nice to include extras. Anyway--it is plenty sturdy for hummingbirds, but would be destroyed by squirrels if they decided to check it out.

Nice feeder, sun rots the lids fast in AZ.
I have 3 of these and I love them. Easy to clean and the water lasts easily for a week if I’m out of town. My one complaint is that the lids rot fast in az, and the replacement cups are almost as much as the feeder was to begin with. The replacement cups should be $4-5, not $17!

Arrived tarnished
The copper hook is exactly what I needed to hang a copper wire rain chain. Unfortunately, the copper hook arrived quite tarnished and doesn’t match the shiny copper wire of the rain chain. I expected better.

Too expensive
Small copper hummingbird feeder hanger looks fine but way too expensive for what you get.

Functional and lovely!
Sealed perfectly, no dripping issues (purchased 3). They look artisan-made, and are sturdy and thick. Looking forward to them developing a patina.

They WILL find it!!!!
Loved the look of this with the metal sculpture. But I wondered if the birds would figure out the feeding method. They did. Much to my joy.. great product, love the artistic and the practical combination.

Very easy to clean, refill & the hummers love them!
I might replace all my feeders with these ones. They're attractive, easy to clean, easy to fill and the birds love them.
