It’s a part of life now

Once you start using automatic facet, you cannot go back to manual one. It makes your life so much easier especially you cook often. We had to change the battery couple times already and sometimes the sensor does not work properly. Installation was not too hard. I like the height from the bottom of sink. I had to return the other faucet before this one because it was way too tall and heavy.

Alexa does not work

Overall the faucet is great. However I bought this one as it advertised that it works with Alexa. I have yet to get it to work. Im pretty tech savvy here but we have not been able to get Alex to do anything but tell us I am unable to complete you moen request. Please try again later.

Complete pain in the butt. Everything about it "almost" works.

Reasons this sucks: * First one had a wire that pulled out while installing, and we had to replace the entire unit. * Randomly turns on, even when no one in room * Randomly turns off when using * When you turn it off with the lever, 1 in 10 times it doesn't turn it off all the way. * Support told me to unplug and plug back in and reset, which I did and it didn't help * After resetting you need to go through a big pain in the butt to reconnect to the Internet * The lever is crap. There's a delay when you turn on the water manually, so if you just want a trickle you have to turn it on, wait to see how much comes out, adjust, wait, adjust wait, etc. * You have to say "Alexa, Tell Moen to give me 1 cup of warm water" which is stupidly long and cumbersome, and then you have to wait a few seconds and then wait for it to get to the right temp and then after it turns off you have to wave at it to make it come out... MUCH more work than a traditional faucet. * The app throws alerts and sends emails if you restart your network. Annoying. * The app says everything is OK even when it's not connected and not working. This faucet is hell and my whole family wants me to throw it out, buy a regular faucet, and hire someone to replace it. I'm trying to get a refund but they said I missed my 30 days by a week (since it took time for my installer to install it and for us to see how much crap this faucet is) so I'm sort of stuck with it.

Waste of money

I don't know how many half-brain dead designers they have, but they should be replaced. Knowing that most kitchen sinks are against an outer wall, and that people have deep sinks, they tell you to mount the control box just below the counter. Sandwiched between the wall and layers of metal, and they expect a wifi signal to get to it. To try and overome this, I mounted it -upright- on the cabinet wall, and tried over a dozen times for it to connect to either band of my dual band router (2.4/5) - which my phone stays connected to over 60 feet away through brick walls. The control box is 12 feet away with no walls between. I am NOT going to get a wifi booster - as the troubleshooting guide says to...that would be throwing away good money after the bad decision to buy this product.

Hands free has become my best friend

The performance of this faucet is great. I never knew how much I would like the hands free feature. it is also nice to use the voice command and get a specific measurement of water.

Nice faucet; Overthought.

We’ve been using this Moen Arbor Smart Faucet for several months now so we could truly get a feel for it before leaving a review. The price is high for a faucet, so we didn’t want to do it a disservice by leaving a hastily review. Here’s what we’ve learned: Installation was easy and instructions were clear. We had no issues following along and believe any amateur could install this device. We are currently using the battery pack, which we’ve had no problems with, but do plan to purchase the AC Adapter just for ease in the future as six D batteries are costly to replace. The motion sensor is fantastic. We LOVE having a hands free option and had no idea what we’ve been missing out on with a manual faucet. It’s so great after food prep or yard work or heavy cleaning to be able to wash our hands without touching any surfaces. Everyone needs a motion sense faucet, period. The toggle from stream to spray works great (this feature on our previous faucet was always getting stuck) and the power boost is awesome. We don’t love that the faucet has to be turned off completely to deactivate the power boost (would be nice to go back and forth), but it’s not that big of a deal. Now to the things we don’t love. We were very excited about the instant temperature options. Again, we’re amateurs and haven’t owned a Smart Faucet before so we read into that claim literally and expecting “Alexa, Ask Moen to dispense hot water” to give us hot water. It doesn’t. The water takes JUST as long to heat up as it otherwise would with any old faucet. For us, that’s approximately 2 minutes. So, no instant hot water for us. Speaking of Alexa features- while these “work”, we haven’t found them to be necessary. You still have to walk over to the sink to put a bowl/cup under the faucet for Alexa to ask Moen to dispense a measurement of water (obviously), so by the time we’ve done that we can just dispense the water ourselves. We also find the app to be somewhat confusing. It’s a lot of Alexa features that just aren’t that necessary. This faucet also, surprisingly, uses quite a bit of our internet allotment per month! We couldn’t figure out how we were going OVER our allotted usage the past few months and then we realized that this faucet is using the internet constantly. No big deal- we don’t really need the Alexa features- so we thought we’d disconnect it from our WiFi. Well, you can’t. At least not via the app. You have to crawl under the sink and find the teeny, tiny reset button on the side of the control box and reset the entire unit to disconnect from WiFi. That’s a pain. Overall, it’s a nicely built faucet with a lot of fancy features for fancy people. We aren’t fancy and wouldn’t pay this price again. Next time we’ll just go with a simpler motion sense faucet without the smart features. Even with the features we still think the faucet is somewhat overpriced, but for someone who utilizes ALL the features they may think differently.
