Good if you use this backing to protect your walls ......

These are very reasonable brackets and hopefully will not rust since they're stainless steel. I didn't want them to dig in to the wall or have the rod gouge a hole in the wall when it moved back and forth in the brackets so I searched for a backing. The brackets are 3" and this wall protector from door knobs is 3.25" so it's absolutely perfect! I scraped off the adhesive (Goo Gone) then drilled holes lined up with the bracket and put the nubby side against the wall because that side has a rounded edge. The bracket now sits flush on the flat side and neither the bracket or rod dig into the wall. It adds a little thickness on each side but for me this was perfect - now the rod slides back and forth even less! I used them with rod Moen 2-100-5SS Donner Commercial Shower Rod, Stainless, which is a beautiful rod with no seams, slightly different finish than the brackets but not noticeable especially since the rod is horizontal and the brackets vertical, so the light hits them differently anyway.

Good product

This product mostly met my expectations. The color in the photo looks more chrome, but this really is a brushed stainless look. It doesn't match my chrome fixtures, but it's not a deal breaker. I'm happy with it overall. Purchased the shower rod to go with and it's working out great. Nice and sturdy to hold my heavy shower curtain up!

Stays in place!

At last, We don't have to worry about the shower curtain coming down when we have a guest. The old rod was one of those twist to fit compression things that always seemed to come down with guests. Drilled the holes, put the curtain and the liner up and it stays,

Duel purpose!

We recently relocated our laundry space to an upstairs bathroom. I wanted to use my shower rod to hang clothes as they came out of the dryer. I knew a tension rod would never hold up to this duel purpose task. Before deciding on placement, I made sure all 4 screws would sink into studs at the edge of the shower. It’s all working great!

Puzzled!

Don’t know what these things are suppose to be! Guess they will go into trash. Just ended up ordering tension rod which I hate bc curtain is always getting tangled and rod falls on my head! What a headache lol.

Not quite what I expected.

The flanges are stamped from reasonably heavy gauge stainless steel and should provide years of service. As another reviewer mentioned, the holes do not allow the use of flush mount screws. Is this a really big deal? Not really, but the screw holes in the flange pictured on Amazon look like there IS a slight recess for the screws. The flanges I received do not have ANY recess at all. That picture is not an accurate representation. Flanges were packaged face-to-face in a bubble wrap pack and arrived scratched.

Nice shower rod flanges that looks great

Nice shower rod flanges that looks great. There is no bracket behind the flange so be warned. I just used some old rubber flat washers I had laying around and touch of tape on the end of the metal rod we had to give it some cushion and prevent the rod from banging against the wall.

Rod not included

I can’t really rate. I read a previous answer and it said it came with rod. It does not. Only the flange set.
