Finally I am getting blue flame on my burner
Great mixer. Sturdy, well made. It definitely mixes air and get much better combustion. I made a burner for a discada myself, combined a 1/4 needle valve, a fire pit ring, grill hose, assembled it myself but I was getting an orange flame and some soot deposited on the bottom of my discada every time I used it. I searched for solutions to get better combustion and found this universal mixer. I knew it was designed for a different burner, but I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did, perfectly blue flame now, much hotter. I am attaching before and after pictures. The only missing star is for lack of instructions. You just get the product on a ziplock bag, that's it, good luck.

Install with proper fittings
You will need a 3/8 pipe and 3/8 cap .Cut pipe to size and thread both ends and make gas outlets . You can use 1/2 “ pipe if you have a 3/8 male to 1/2” female adapter . Measure your pipe so it will fit . It’s pretty simple and put air vent to front and open to adjust your flame . You just turn unit so the front of it is the vent flap showing to the room . Just a tip if your not a plumber you should have one install for you ! Gas is dangerous ! PS use pipe dope on fittings !

It rusts very quickly
It does help adjust the gas and air mixture but it rusts very quickly. Be sure to paint it to avoid damage.

What is pictured is different than what is shipped.
After a call to Bobbi in customer service from Dante I have figured out that bolt cap on the end looks different than what is was pictured on website. You need a 3/8" hexagon or Allen wrench to tighten the inverted cap. What was pictured on Amazon was exactly what I was replacing and to be totally safe working with Natural Gas wanted to make sure a part was not left out of the package. NOTICE IN THE PICTURE THE THREADS THAT IS ACTUALLY AN INVERTED CAP/PLUG. JUST NEEDED TO BE TIGHTEN. ALSO DANTE CUSTOMER SERVICE RECOMMENDED INSTALLING FIRE STARTER BAR WITH THE HOLES AT 45degree angle TO NOT LET ASHES FALL INSIDE HOLES OVER TIME.

1/2" NPT to gas line, 3/8" NPT to log lighter
Does the job... One thing to note, which I couldn't find in the description or on their website is that the port that connects to the log lighter is a 3/8" NPT thread, while the other two are 1/2" NPT. One of the two 1/2" ports needs to be capped with the provided plug and the other needs to connect to the gas line. The device must not be installed backwards (the gas needs to go INTO one of the 1/2" ports and come OUT of the 3/8" port) since it has a separating wall inside with just a small hole in it. If it is installed backwards, the gas will mostly push out of the hole under the flap labelled "NG", which could be a fire hazard...

Works great on gas fireplace. But bad instructions. The burner pipe is sealed on one end. The instruction don't tell you that.
