Name of color is wrong
The quality is great but the color is not Merlot. It is more like a tomato color with hints of orange which does not look good on olive skin. Looking at the container looks like a merlot burgundy but it is not. Disappointed because I won’t be able to wear it. The quality is spot on. It does not run like lipstick usually does. Too bad about the color.

Non-Drying, Buildable Color, But Uneven Coverage
I am a lip color junkie. I may have entirely too many lip products. Nah, not possible. Lip color can make such a difference in how you look, even if it's just a wash of color. That's one thing I love about this lip stain, I can have multiple looks out of one product. To get a sheer, just bitten look, wipe the excess color from the applicator and swipe your lips. I patted it in and then put the color left on my finger on my cheeks. It left a nice soft natural look. Take the natural look into a dramatic look with this buildable formula. Merlot looked a like it had a tiny orange tint on me. I was expecting more of a deep wine shade. It was still pretty and I'd love to try the other shades. The formula doesn't dry my lips or sting like other stains I've tried. I think there might be a learning curve for application, the color was a bit uneven on my lips. My son asked if I had 2 different colors on. I'll keep practicing. I like the natural ingredients. I like that it's cruelty free. The stain smells good, I think it's a floral fragrance. It doesn't last and the stain had no taste The packaging feels hefty and high end. The gold foil printing on the tube looks great in contrast to the rich lip stain color. The container is a decent size for the price, perfect to fit in your pocket, one less thing to carry in your purse. It didn't last long under normal eating & drinking conditions, maybe that's an application thing I need to work on too, but touch-up is easy. I decided to put it on before I went to sleep to test it. The color didn't budge all night. It looked fresh and neat even after tossing & turning. Definitely would gift it to a friend who's a lip product junkie or someone who's a make-up minimalist who also likes options.

Very Watery Finish
I got this for my daughter-in-law, and the following is her review: This Mineral Fusion Lip and Cheek combination beauty product is a beautiful rose color, and after some trial-and-error applications, I ended up loving the results. The watery consistency made it easy to apply and blend out, and it gave a very natural-looking flush to my cheeks. The product is very buildable, so that I could achieve the level of pigmentation I wanted if I kept adding more. It also lasted throughout the day without fading or smudging. As a lip stain, it provided a subtle tint to my lips, giving them a natural, flushed look. However, I had to reapply it more frequently on my lips than my cheeks. It is not sticky and does not feel like a lip gloss when applied, as it is much more liquified. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a natural, watery finish. It's an excellent option for those who want a sheer and buildable product for their cheeks and lips. The fact that it is also made from a 98% naturally derived formula is a bonus.

Pretty, pink lip stain
This review is for: Mineral Fusion 2-in-1 Lip & Cheek Stain Rose, 0.10 fl oz, Rosey Pink hydrating, long-lasting, matte lip and cheek color This Rose lip and cheek stain is a pretty pink color. It went on very watery and thin and then dried to a matte finish. It worked on both my lips and cheeks. It was nice and pigmented on my lips, and it looked pretty natural on my cheeks. I've learned that stains are perhaps a little more flattering on someone with smooth lips. I felt like it settled into my lip wrinkles a little too much. I think this would be a good buy for anyone who prefers lip stains to lipsticks or glosses.

Not a long-lasting lip color, better for the cheeks
I appreciate that the Mineral Fusion 2-in-1 Lip & Cheek Stain is alcohol free because I have sensitive lips that tend to get dry. The Rosey Pink color looked beautiful on my lips at first, but I found that it wears off really quickly. I wouldn't call this a true lip stain, and it was too much work for me to keep reapplying it. I found that it did a better job for me as a blush.

Liked It Better On Cheeks
I thought I was going to like this more for my lips than my cheeks, but it was the other way around for me. On my cheeks, it does dry fast, so apply color to one side and blend before and then move to the other side. Perhaps because I use moisturizer and primer, but I didn’t find it drying and I thought it blended well on my cheeks. Unfortunately, on my lips it had a sort of caking effect that I get with some matte lip stains. It is long lasting and the color stayed all day, but it makes my lips feel dry and I find myself applying lip balm or gloss (obviously this doesn’t make it matte anymore) when I wear it on my lips. The urgent price at the time of review is $19.99 and this seemed a little expensive given the size and that it was drying on my lips. I do really like that it is made in the USA.

Good for Travel
I like the idea of this 2-in-1 lip and cheek stain from Mineral Fusion. I got the Rose color. It is a matte color. I found it did a nice job staining my lips, but they did feel very dry after application and I needed to add a clear balm on top. I thought it did a nice job as a blush. Easy to apply and blend. I do a lot of traveling and anything that can do double duty is a huge plus for me. I like that this is a small package that covers 2 beauty needs. I also like that it is made in the U.S. I am marking it down a star because I wish it was more hydrating on my lips.

Orange!
Personally I didn’t like this stain. I received merlot and it was very blood red but with a hue of orange. I couldn’t see using it
