Job easier but cuts a little ragged
Drilling peg holes would have taken forever without this. However, the quality of the drill but cut was a little rough. Luckily I was painting, I couldn’t have used it if I was planning to stain, too much rip out around the edges .

Bought it for an emergency need. Love it
I purchased a different drilling jig, but I didn't have it when I needed one. So I purchased this as a one time use... I am pleasantly surprised. Love the storage for the bits and pins that it comes with. I don't use it professionally, just DIY type stuff. Probably wouldn't hold up being used everyday, but for the money, it is a great value. I will probably use this one more than the other one I purchased to be honest.

Works good BUT
The jig works great and is easy to use. Pretty accurate, made the job much easier. Only knock against it and the reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the drill bit kept clogging up. Every other hole or so you would have to manually clear the bit so it would fully retract back into the guide. I was drilling into oak cabinet plywood. This may not be an issue if you have solid wood, and it did not affect the accuracy or function. Was more of an annoyance than anything.

Good for the money but the center drill bit is cheap.
The template is solid but the 1/4" center drill bit is cheap and fell apart right away. I had to put it back together after the first hole. It also does not eject the chips very well. As for the template itself, it is solid. The material is durable and looks like it will last a long time. The storage compartment holding the drill bit and accessories I can see breaking as the tabs are a bit tough to open and close. Solid buy but 50/50 if I would buy them again if presented the choice.

Works as expected.
Works great, only issue is the bit doesn’t seem to like MDF, would assume because of the large amount of powder it produces. Just had to take extra care. Would buy again.

Getting a new shelf pin bit free
This should be a great thing for drilling shelf pins, but not so much. While the plastic template seems ok and easy to use the same cannot be said for the retractable drill. The drill bit doesn’t smoothly move up and down in the holder. The bit gets stuck and jammed when drilling. The body of the drill holder may be poorly aligned or its a badly machined drill bit. Either way mine jammed so badly it became unusable. The bit won’t clear itself from wood chips either. Instead tried everything including disassembling and lubricant. Now the darn bit will not move in the housing at all. The holes I did drill were poor with a bunch of tear out especially in pine. I have emailed the company fora resolution and waiting of a answer. Ok update, they shipped me a new 1/4. Inch drill bit assembly. Hopefully this one will work. I am pleased that the customer support is responsive.

Very good template
This was easy to use and yielded good results. Contrary to what other reviews have stated, the self centering drill bit did not fall apart after 3 holes. It is still in one piece after over 100 holes. I can tell that they have made improvements to the drill bit, because I watched an older YouTube review of this tool and he said he could not keep the drill bit secure, even going to the measure of trying to file a flat side on the shaft so the drill bit so the Allen wrench would hold the bit secure. Miles Craft has redesigned the drill bit with a flat surface on the bottom so the drill bit is now held secure.

Be sure to use a higher power drill. Easy to use
This thing was easy to use. I built a cabinet from 3/4 s plywood and did not consider that putting holes on both sides of a center piece that they would go all the way through. But it was precise enough that they lined up perfectly and look just fine. I am able to put pins on both sides of the same hole with no issue as well, incidentally. At first I thought the bit was kind of poor. It clogged and took a while to drill and seemed wobbly. I was using a small 12 volt Milwaukee. The. I switched to an 18 volt driver. Wow, what a difference! Each hole took a split second and the waste ejected from the side holes much more consistently. Very happy after that adjustment.

Included bit leaves much to be desired
I've only gotten to test this new tool out on some scrap so far. Most notable, the included spring loaded drill bit assembly does not seem to be very well manufactured. Once it is locked in place in my drill and spun, you can see a noticeable wobble to the assembly. Can be slightly felt while drilling too. I happened to find the milescraft video on you tube for this product, and you can actually see the wobble while they are using it. Not ideal when you are trying to drill perfectly symmetrical holes (one of the main purposes of the tool itself). Also, the bit assembly doesn't clear itself of shavings very well, causing the spring load action to jam up and become plugged, plus pack the freshly drilled hole with shavings that need to be removed. Highlights are, its relatively cheap, but after first experience I regret not shelling put a few more dollars for the kreg jig equivalent. I'm certain the task of drilling all the holes I have will be easier than free handing it without a jig, but I'm also quite certain i won't be 100% satisfied with the performance of this tool.

Caused a lot of damage to the surface
Not happy with this product at all. There is something very wrong with the bits design. It’s not sheering the wood but instead it’s tearing it pretty badly. Tried with different drills and tried putting masking tape going slow, going fast, cleaning the bit after each cut but matter what I do it just horribly tears out. Using it on high quality maple plywood.
