Cheaper than a drill press, and super versatile
Really nice jig. I've used this for drilling into brass rod stock and for making a larger jig for drilling perfect 1/2" holes into plywood. Just clamp the guide to what you're drilling and go.

Great if you don’t have a drill press
If you need to drill perpendicular holes and you don’t have a drill press, this will get you there. Steel sleeves allow the drill bit to run smoothly without binding. V-groove on the bottom allows for drilling into round stock, though mine at least, seems to be slightly off center when clamped to round stock.

Nifty tool for aligning your holes
If you're like me, you might not always do your freehand drilling with as much perpendicular exactitude as you would like. But the Milescraft DrillBlock is an efficient and inexpensive field-expedient solution for assuring that your drill holes are not out of whack. Always use the matching diameter drill bit corresponding to the drill guide hole you are using. If you need to drill a size not included on the DrillBlock, use the next size down on the block to make a pilot hole, then drill out to the intended diameter. You will still have an excellent hole. Sometimes I like to turn the block upside-down to start the tip of the hole, than I return the DrillBlock to the normal position to make sure it drills at a right angle.

Works great
Love it and its hard to complain at this price, but if i had one gripe, it would be the curvy design. I get that its there to enhance your grip, but this is one tool that i would have rather had true square edges

It is really useful.
Its like one of those statements 'the professionals secret' its so simple yet for years I have prated about trying to drill holes in metal with a battery drill. The bit skidding about damaging all around. Slow speed fast speed anything in between. Centre punching, auto punches everything that for one reason or another does not work. THIS DOES WORK . I noticed some makes of this tool are very expensive for no reason I can see. this guide does what you want and does it well.

Handy product
It's a fairly good product but not very useful for drilling high up on a wall as it's difficult to keep it in place while drilling
