Very happy with purchase!
Easy to use and good quality. I'm definitely a newbie when it comes to building things and came across a cabinet I wanted to try to build to hide my hot water heater. This tool worked perfectly to join the 1 x 4's with pocket screws and I was very proud of how it came out. I'm looking forward to building a lot more things now that I have added this tool.

Wow!!
Wow. I’ve had a couple of Kreg jigs, and they are great. Last one broke. So decided to buy this new Milescraft jig. It’s awesome. Really built well. Really heavy, which is good. And very versatile. I love how you can change the width of the pockets easily. Some jigs have a fixed distance between the 2 Drill guides. With this one you can easily change that. Once you have it dialed in for doing multiple boards, it’s great. It’s sturdy and very accurate. They thought of almost everything. Some jigs have an “auto-clamp”, but that is minor. I’d rather have this all-metal, we’ll made jig, to an auto-clamping plastic model. You can also remove the drill guide piece to be able to do pockets in material that you can’t bring over to the jig. The only thing I wish they would have done is make the removable piece/jig easier to detach. Its not a deal breaker since most jigs don’t even have this feature. But I feel they could have done it. All in all it’s a great release to add to the other Milescraft products I have.

I love this.
This is a great product. I love it. First time using something like this and it went very well. I bought this over the Kreg system because of cost and construction. I made a sled for it and I was able to put pocket holes in 6 foot 2x4’s easily.

Really sturdy jig!
This jig is really well built, and should last a really, really long time. It's also highly configurable, but can take some time to setup properly. First, the build quality. This thing is built like an absolute tank, especially when compared to the Kreg products that are so ubiquitous. This will absolutely outlast anything I've used from Kreg, and by a long time. Some of the common wear items are replaceable too! For example -- the metal bushing that holds and guides the drill bit is threaded. If you wear it out, you can unthread it and put in a new one. The only thing I am unsure about is parts availability. This jig is also quite configurable, but can take a bit of time to set up properly. If you are doing a lot of repeatable holes of the same depth, then this is perfect. Set the depth on the jig and the collar stop on the drill bit once, then it's really quick to clamp your piece in and drill the holes as many times as you need. If you are doing mostly one-off holes, it can take a minute or two to get everything set up properly, but it's pretty easy once you've done it once or twice. I also like how you can remove the base and attach the included fence to drill into larger pieces that you can't easily clamp in the base (see photo of the relevant part of the instruction manual). The fence is plastic, though, and could break a lot easier than the really sturdy base. There is a small drawer underneath the base that holds the drill bit, driver bit, etc. There isn't enough room to fit many screws under there, but I like how it keeps all the tool parts together so I don't lose them in a random tool drawer. This small drawer also has the depth stop adjustments for the drill bit collar. One thing I was surprised by (in a good way) is the dust collection. When I first saw the plastic dust port insert, I thought there was no way it would collect much dust. But I inserted and tested a few holes without turning on the vacuum to see where the chips would accumulate. Low and behold, almost all the wood chips ended up right inside the dust manifold. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well this would extract all the wood chips! So overall, this product is a bit more expensive than the base model Kreg units, but I think it's well worth it. If you are only going to be doing a couple holes for a very specific project, you would be fine with the Kreg unit for cheaper, but if you value a tool that's built to last, or if you are going to be doing pocket holes with any sort of regularity, I would strongly recommend you consider this Milescraft unit!

well thought out metal pocket hole station
I think the most exciting thing to me about this and millscraft jumping into the pocket hold game is going with T20 screws. The square drives most or these use are fine, but a T20 has a little more forgiveness on alignment to get the driver into the screw when you cannot see inside the hole to line up. Millscraft also sells the screws since this only comes with a handful, but be warned if you want to go full T20 pocket screws and want to make an outdoor project as of this date I do not see painted or stainless screws available yet, hopefully that changes in the future. After using this to make a quick shelving unit for my garage the star of the show is this dust collection. Due to the placement as soon as the drill bit hits the wood it is extracting dust and chips. There was almost zero cleanup, for the few escaped chips just pulled off the shop vac hose and in seconds it was squeaky clean. The jig itself is easy to use. The all metal body is solid and includes 3 mounting options. It includes 4 phillips screws to tie it down to a bench into the nicely chamfered mounting screw holes (why not T20 to match the pocket screws?). There is a clamping foot that can be screwed on to the back, and finally there is a foot so it can be clamped to the back of a bench or work surface from underneath. The adjustment marks are nicely done so setup for your desired spread is simple. The quick clamp of a bolt with a lock nut to retain is a tried and true design. It takes longer than some self adjustment mechanisms on the market, but it's dead simple and not going to get gummed up or break as easily. There is a little drawer for the bit, collar, adjustment allen key, and T20 bit. The included T20 bit is magnetic which is a nice touch. The collar on the drill nut has knurling so it's easy to once broken with the allen key just finger loosen or tighten quickly. The only real downside to this though is the drill bit. There are no depth markings on it like most other brands include. I think it's because they need the threads to go higher up in order for the great dust collector to work. There are markings on the drawer to set up the bit, but it's more clunky than lining up a ling on the bit. I am unlikely to use the drawer for the drill bit and will be getting a couple more drill bits to just preset a couple for ¾, 1 inch, and inch and a half stock and keep those at my drill station.
