Awesome buy! I'm moving in 3 months so I did not want to buy a new mattress that i would have to leave behind, so i went for a topper. After reading reviews and researching, I landed on this one. Initially a 3-5" topper sounded great, right? More foam, more comfort youd think. Well more foam means the more you'll sink into your bed rather than get actual support. Which is what i needed. The mattress I have is a 5 year old, basic, $200 innerspring with a crappy "pillowtop". Well it's worn and seen its better days. Having it poke me in the shoulder and hips with its garbage worn out springs, i finally had enough. Well like i said, after learning thicker toppers arent better for support, i went with the 2" green tea version. Not sure whats with the bad reviews saying it took hours to puff up and reach actual size, or air out the chemically odors? I opened the box, unrolled the topper, and spread it on top of my mattress. I stretched it just a tiny bit to even out the edges and what not, but within 15 minutes it had fully expanded and was an absolutely perfect fit on my mattress. No real chemical smell either. Just a faint hint of green tea. (Which to me it smells like ons of those green matcha teas you get at Starbucks haha) But it smells good im happy. Well initially after covering it with a mattress cover, then the fitted sheet, I layed down on it and immediately knew it was what I was looking for. It isnt your typical dense, heavy, memory foam. This is a little more airy and has more spring to it. If you push your jand into it, and pull it away it doesnt leave an impression. But rather it springs back much quicker to its original state. What I'm trying to say is you wont really sink into it, but instead your body is just supported and cradled into an ideal sleep position. (For me in a side sleeper, so my majority weight is in my hips and torso area.) Mainly I feel like my body is kept pretty straight. I also LOVE that I can just lay down and be pretty much immediately comfortable in the position I get into. Instead of tossing and turning and having to move around every while until i finally fall asleep. With this topper i just get in bed and am basically comfortable within seconds of putting my head on the pillow. Its awesome. The topper also keeps me a little cooler at night. Since its an airier type of foam, and nkt so dense like most memory foam topper, as well as having the air flow holes in the topper, im able to have ALL my blankets on top of me (which i like cause the heavy weight from a down comforter and 2-3 more fleece blankets on top of that) and I still stay cool enough under the covers I dont have to switch between taking the fleece blabkets off and jist using thw comforter, then waking up at 3am and being cold and putting them back on. Now i just keep them on all night and I'm cool enough I dont have to add or remove blankets all the time. It also just makes the overall feeling of being in bed under the covers feel "cleaner" I guess would be how id describe it. It just gives a nice crisp feeling under the covers instead of being hot and humid. It really just makes the comort of my bed better and all in all just a much more enjoyable time being in bed. Highly highly recommend to anyone wanting to save some bucks and try to salvage their mattress as a last resort before ultimately going out and deciding on spending $500+ on a decent mattress. Or even if you just need a little extra support for your body or back if the mattress you have currently is too soft for your sleep needs and you cant manage the peice tag of what a decent quality mattress costs. Ill be recommending this to a few people in my family who would benefit from a 40 dollar investment. Honestly, this was probably the best 40 bucks ive spent on something in a year. Conclusion; GET IT! You wont be disappointed you got it! Its effective, a good quality foam, smells pretty nice, and is not a big risk financially especially when comparing 40 dollars for a topper that could save you 400 dollars on buying a whole new mattress when this could do the trick! (It did for me!) Just get it if youre on the fence about it. Ive had a few other really expensive mattresses in my life (Tempurpedic memory, Casper memory, and Sealy [black edition??] Pillowtop), and to be perfectly honest this topper (for the money) turned my crappy mattress into one that is as comfortable as all of those ive had in the past. And for 40 bucks!! Juat buy it, and thank yourself later when you wake up after the first night well rested without knots on your back anymore! :) Goodnight Amazonians.
