I don’t even know where to start with this mattress topper. It’s not completely horrible and I did get some good rest out of it occasionally, but overall it does not work for me at all. First, this topper is HOT. And I mean so hot. Multiple friends of mine have stated the same after laying on it, so it is not just me. I do not usually sweat much at night and actually tend to get cold, but I do leave my AC running for some breeze. If it is above 60 degrees Fahrenheit, no matter the fan or AC, you will wake up drenched in sweat. And if you’re sick, it’s just an awful feeling. The memory foam absorbs your body heat and basically makes a furnace under your back when you lie down, you can feel it almost immediately. I’ve woken up multiple times drenched in sweat, which NEVER happened before I got this, and each time I always feel a bit under the weather for the day. As for the material, it is really soft and feels nice to the touch, but it really sinks down when you lay on it, which definitely contributes to the heat. I thought I would like it at first, but it became really uncomfortable and awkward. It’s just not ideal to sink down into the memory foam like that, not to mention that it is not very good for your body or joints. It also is really hard to move around on, just getting out of bed really takes some effort because it sucks you down so much. I didn’t have any body pain while sleeping on it which was a plus, but my sleep quality was very hit or miss depending on the night and temperature. For reference, I didn’t have a lot of body pain before, but sometimes my shoulder would hurt if I slept on my side for too long. It did not hurt on this mattress topper. For that, I give it two stars. Otherwise, there is really nothing else positive that I can say about this topper. It slides very easily because there is nothing holding it to the bed, so after a few days you have to keep readjusting the topper to put it back centered on your mattress. Also, you really have to pull it the right way or it will rip, as shown in the photo. This has happened in two spots, which isn’t a big deal to me, but something to note about quality. And lastly, it still has a strong foam smell after 2 months. I’ve had this less than 100 days, but Amazon will not give me a refund because it was over a month when I finally decided I couldn’t take it anymore. I feel like with a mattress or topper, you should really have a little more time to try it out, as 100 days is the standard. Either way, I’m basically throwing this away after 2 months and can’t get a refund which is really unfortunate. I tried to like it, but it did not work for me and I’m not sure how anyone would enjoy this in the long run. I would recommend finding a cooling mattress topper, or anything else really that is not just memory foam.
