Was a Stanley Fat MAX user until I borrowed one of these from a friend. Right after that I ordered my own. Love this tape!

satisfied with purchase
Bought this for my boyfriend who is in construction, he loved it. Especially the magnetic feature because he does plumbing sometimes.. however the magnet fell off while he was working so its “as good as a dollar store measuring tape” now was how he describes it. so I deducted 1 star off the review. I ended up hot glueing a random magnet, but the original was better. Wish there was something else that could be done.

Nice, heavy-duty tape measure
Tired of using flimsy tape measures so I purchased this one. A bit heavy, but definitely durable. I like the larger sized numbers for ease of use. The magnetic tip is a nice feature. Extension and retraction works smoothly and the manual lock does the trick. I highly recommend this tape measure.

Missing information
I enjoyed the craftsman product and when I received my new tape measure. I discovered the blade isn't white which i wanted in the first place. I don't know who will respond to me about this but I'm not too happy this time around on a product. Pictures show white blade, and I got a yellow blade which I could have gotten other products with yellow blade.

Great size and safe
We had an old metal one for years but when that finally went out, we purchased this one. I wish we had tossed our old one sooner because this is so much safer. The metal one would often bend, snap and pinch or cut us when we were using it but this one, the tape is much easier to handle and because of how it's made, won't cause an injury if accidentally snaps back. I am going to purchase another one to keep in the garage tool box - this one passed the test and can stay in our laundry room so we can have easy access when needed.

Frustrating (particularly with gloves on)
Mine is kind of frustrating to use. The hook you use to pull the tape out can push up even with the bottom of the body, so my standard “grab the hook area and pull” doesn’t work. Back to Stanley tapes I guess.

Good quality, the standout is slightly more than 11'
I've been looking for a measuring tape to replace my old Lufkin that only has maybe 7 feet of standout left after years of use and abuse, this tape works better in every way, there's less resistance when pulling the tape out, it retracts better, the lock is easier to use. 25 feet is fine for the type of work I do, just need a good no frills tape that will last years. Reading reviews on Amazon has thought me that many people have very little knowledge of measuring tapes, many negative reviews are about people complaining the tape they bought are not in metric, another complaint I've seen a lot is people complaining the hook moves, that's a feature, not a design flaw, when you push your tape against something the hook moves in to make up for the thickness of the hook, when you put the hook on something and pull on the tape, the hook moves out, again to make up for the thickness of the hook. I recommend people watch some videos on measuring tapes basics on youtube before making 1 or 2 star reviews, Essential Craftsman or Project Farm for example have good videos on measuring tapes.

- Tiene medidas metricas (cm / m)? No. - Es puramente basada en el sistema imperial, denotadas las pulgadas (in) y pies (ft). - El material me parece de muy buena calidad, la cinta es metalica y muy resistente ademas de ancha, no se dobla facil. - Para mediciones muy precisas (con errores de margenes dentro del 1/8" o 1/16") tendran que ajustar los calculos dado a que la parte de la cinta que se usa para sujetarse tiende a menearse poco ademas de que no esta colocado al puro margen de la cinta, por lo cual la distancia de esa parte a donde comienzan las mediciones quiza sea de 1/8" a 1/4". - El mecanismo para bloquear o fijar la cinta es suficientemente fuerte. - El peso si se siente, facil 1/2 kg (1 lb). - Los numeros son grandes, facil se pueden ver a distancia. Sobre todo, es de muy buena calidad y para lo que la necesito cumple con las expectativas. A mi gusto bastante, siento que durara sin problemas.

Doesn't retract
Nice quality, except that the retract spring isn't strong, so you have to push the tape back in. Won't purchase another.

Bien a secas
La cubierta es muy bonita, pero la cinta deja que desear, solo viene en pulgadas, la verdad me fuí por la marca pero se puede conseguir algo mejor por la mitad de precio
