Just noticed defect in the way the material sown down in one area….
I hope this really is leather—it better be for the cost! It feels VERY comfortable. Annoying though that the instructions how to open and close it are not visible when it’s closed. Tricky to get the hang of it! Yet appears well made—all but for a part on one chair underneath that’s not sown down properly. (see pics). Concerned, over time will the material bubble and come off? Considering what to do.

Sturdy, comfy and beautiful
We got these chairs for our small space living room. They look great and are very comfortable to sit on. They are not like ordinary folding chairs. They are sturdy and definitely have that "permanent" look. It is not easy to fold and unfold easily but I don't care much about that. I do like that when we move they can be folded up! We got a folding table that matches these. The folding table also is sturdy and looks permanent. Very, very impressed by these chairs!

One flaw
The chairs look good and are comfortable to sit in. The sturdiness is great. The only flaw is the the legs are not evenly cut so they both wobble. One of the chairs has a more visible wobble than the other. For the price of $100 per chair they should have gotten the lengths right. The wobble is annoying for the price but its still useable. If the chair was cheaper I wouldn't care.

Beautiful chairs
Perfect in my den for seating at my game/puzzle table. The chairs are very sturdy and the part is that visitors don't even know they fold. I am very pleased with these chairs.

Excellent purchase!
These chairs are great. They are sturdy and comfortable and appear to be fairly high-quality. Several of the reviews mentioned them not opening or folding up easily. There are instructions on the bottom of the chairs. If you follow the instructions, it’s a no brainer. They’re very easy to open and they’re very easy to fold back up. If I needed more folding chairs, I would definitely buy these again.

Sturdy , comfortable, and won't wiggle.
I'm very happy with the chairs. They are sturdy and will be a very comfortable chair for my guests. This is a good investment and will be used for years as it is a simple but timeless parson's chair. The instructions on the underside of the chair are not helpful, so we fiddled with the chairs for 15 minutes. Then I went online and found that Stakmore has its own video. Just type: Stakmore Video on your computer browser. The video made it easy to understand and then the chairs easily unfolded. Check the video first. Also, after I fold and put them away I will apply some silicone spray or grease to the steel mechanism so as to make it easier to unfold the chair for the next time it's needed. I did not give it 5 stars for value because I paid $168 and I think that's pricey. But I see now the price has been reduced to a fairer price and good value.

Well packed arrived in good shape, measurements true
Good folding chair for those who aren't able to assemble the other chairs on the market. Looks good classy. Padding is thick and comfortable. Feels sturdy for my not thin self. While measurements are true including the 17 inches across seat, the seat width is a compromise for me and could be for others. Not a complaint, just saying. Just one chair opened very easily, the other can be opened by the guest it is meant to be for.

Sturdy, yet difficult to fold especially if you don’t have diminished arm strength.
These chairs are very sturdily made. I use them as my regular kitchen table chairs. Purchased a set of two at first to assess their quality. Was so satisfied that I shortly after ordered another two. My only problem is that they are easy to unfold, but rather difficult to unfold. However I only expect to fold them when I need to make room in the kitchen. If one needs to store them after a short period, I expect it could be problematic. I believe the design used to allow the folding mechanism which is different from other designs is the reason for this. When folding one has to pull the BACK of the seat upwards, which for was not impossible but somewhat difficult. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase
