Heated pipe tape.
it was pretty easy to use, if you have to put it in the corner it is a little hard to get on. But it does work very well I would recommend it. Just make sure you make the right measurements and don’t get too big of one.

Easy to use relatively clear instructions
Easy to use relatively clear instructions, Thewrmostatworks well but I have a concern that it might fail in the near future due to the arcing at temps hovering around 0* C. I am living in Maine and where I put the product the pipes did not freeze.

Great Buy! Prompt Delivery!
I am so happy to have this option compared to not having the use of running water in an outbuilding year round. I am not sure about the cost of using though. I know the old kind of heating cable were more prone to starting fires and expensive to run. I just got my electric bill which effectively doubled. I only got a 9 foot section of this stuff and hope the higher electric "shock" (pun intended) was a combination of other factors and not just the use of the product. My review is based on the promptness of the delivery and its doing its job.

Keeps my wellhead from freezing.
I wrapped my wellhead and exposed pipes and it does the job w/o insulation. ( I may add insulatiuon this year) Automatic switch works as advertised. If you have exposed pipes. This works.

Good heat-tape and instructions
Chart on the back gives recommended lengths for 1/2" to 1" pipes of various types. It worked good in < 0F temperatures on a much larger pipe when wrapped tighter together. I pre-calculated the tape length per each spiral by multiplying the pipe-diameter * 3.1459 (Pi) The number of spirals by taking the total pipe length and dividing that by the spacing desired (which I guessed at). Calculated length by taking number of spirals divided by length of each spiral. Added a foot and it worked out great. Did everything in inches and then converted to feet as the last step.

M-D Building Products 64428 18-Foot Pipe Heating Cable with Thermostat
I did not appreciate that I am supposed to wrap the tape around the pipe, and then wrap everything with waterproof tape. We have freezing weather in Los Angeles about 2-3 days a year and it did not seem worth the effort to install.

Not for exterior use...
North Florida here and thought this product might be used to protect plumbing outside the pump house. After receiving the product and reading the entire manual, it shouldn't be used outside. Returned.

PITA to wrap tight pipes
Good old-fashioned way to keep a pipe from freezing. But a sleeve or zip ties could work too. Why is it so thick?
