Not like the original #2's

It's just a pencil I get that, but whatever changes they've made to this model are noticed and a bit disappointing when using it. The weight is not the same, it's much lighter. The graphite is less dense as well. I've used these pencils for sketching for years and now they're so weak I have to press hard just to get a decent line. Ughhh, first world problems indeed, but I was asked to let y'all know what I think so, there it is. Maybe I just got a bad batch, or maybe the new model just sucks.

Good pencils

I love these pencils because the lead comes out dark and clear. However they do break pretty easily so I probably won’t purchase anymore.

I LOVE these pencils!!

I was so excited to find this in bulk (36 pencils)! I will not use any other pencils other than these!! I’ve been using these for years. The only thing I’ve noticed is that these bulk ones are slightly lighter weight & color compared to the original (Picture for color difference). They wrote the same & quality is just perfect for lead/eraser. I would order again.

Pencil not what advertised should be #2 but too light to be a #2

Pencils are not a #2 lead and we cannot use them. Just opened the box and there are 38 unused pencils and they are useless to us.

i love these pencils. the lead doesn’t break easily, they’re comfortable, and chic. the only sad part about these is that the erasers were dry (probably due to sitting in storage for so long). i returned them bc i’d like to use the erasers, but if you don’t mind this issue then definitely purchase

Not the same as last time :(

3-* from zenmama on May 10, 2023 So sad! Not the same as our last order of the same pencils from Amazon… I have been ordering these pencils from Amazon for years. That’s all we use at our house. However, each pencil in this last box I ordered is a lighter color, lighter weight, and brakes easier (the new one is on the left). They stop working before the lead is gone. The lead keeps popping back in. I’ll try ordering one more time to see if that was a fluke.

Good Pencil but Different Than Other Pencils I Like

These pencils write fine, although they must be twisted at the top to move the lead up instead of the normal click on the eraser. The lead is also very thin (I believe 0.5mm) and looks thin on paper, and breaks easier. It is also harder to reload than other mechanical pencils as there is a large spring in the center of the pencil which can fall out and break the whole pencil (happened to me multiple times). Overall, I would recommend BIC mechanical 0.7mm pencils. The are better in almost every way, but these aren't bad for the price and do what a pencil needs to do.

Perfect

These are the only pencils I use to draw with and I can’t find them anywhere in the stores, so I was very happy when I found these online in a box that was three times larger than the one I used to buy at the store If you are an artist I love drawing and graphite these are the perfect pencils. I just don’t use the eraser on the end of the pencil I use white erasers. Thank you for this product Marg

great pencils

I bought these pencils at a local stationary store that no longer carries them. I looked them up on Amazon and found them. These pencils are my favorite ever. Bought 2 boxes to last me awhile and I will definately buy more.

Seriously the best mechanical pencils

I've tried a lot of different mechanical pencils in my classroom and always come back to these Paper Mate Sharpwriter. I've tried the 0.5 mm and 0.7mm ones and prefer the thicker lead; it's a lot sturdier. The 36-pack lasts me a few months, definitely a great value.

Great Mechanical Pencil

I may not be much of an artist, but I like this pencil for line sketching. Being on a slight spring, it is difficult to break the lead when used normally. It would have been better if you could reload it easily, but I have found my own way to do so. I think this works best for drafting tables.

Last indefinitely under normal use.

If you are in the woodworking industry and require a pencil with a fine line, and need a pencil that hardly ever breaks even in the worst situations, THIS 1 IS FOR YOU. Best I've ever used. For the money.
