Read this review

I say that because some people make them sound TOO good. They were defiantly not what I expected, although I should have at that price. I have rental houses and buy many lock sets. Usually inexpensive sets from the box stores. I was looking for a set for my home and the reviews made these sound really good “solid-well built-better than the box stores ” I’m not sure what people where using before, but the truth is they are adequate for a rental house, but not any better than the box store. There wobbly and cheaply made. In fairness they do the job and the key mechanism works fine (some brands don’t). So I have no problem using them in a rental. I just would not personally recommend them if you’re looking for a set to put in your home.

Great for the front door

These set of locks are perfect for the front door, you get two set of keys (4 keys total). The best part about these keys is that the top part are wide enough, it helps me a lot to identify them, before I had these set, I carried 10 identical keys on one big key chain. It literally took me 2 minutes going through each key trying to find the right one to open the front door. But not anymore, with these keys, one look and boom the door opens because of the wideness on the top part of the key. I've purchase a Kwikset, and it cost me 25 bucks, and that was without the bolt lock, so getting the Master Lock TUCO0603 was cheaper and better and not to mention it also came with a bolt lock!

Fails without fail

The deadbolt fails repeatedly. The inner piece that connects to the core and turns and moves the throwbolt/latch and connects to the inside knob detaches. Other brands have it attached using a metal threaded grommet that is screwed on. This one is just pressed on. Loose and removable without much pulling or twisting force. Imagine this. You install it properly. You lock your door. You try to unlock it and the key just spins and spins. It will fail to catch and only spin. You cannot lock or unlock. You will only be able to unlock it from the inside. For me, good thing I tested it before locking it from the outside. I could have been locked out. As for the doorknob piece, it works ok. I would pay an extra $5 or $10 for better security for the set that actually works how it supposed to.

Worth the money

This was my 5th lock installation. This particular deadbolt set was to replace an existing one that was broken. The installation was easy, and I simply took the old one out and put the new one in. No need to even look at the installation instruction. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, and I had no issues whatsoever. The qualify of the lock is acceptable and in fact very good for the price I paid. The only slight compliant I have is the keys are kind of big. I wish they were smaller and slimmer. Very happy with the purchase.

Same key for all locks !!

To all , who buy this lock in the future !! I bought 4 of these locks and got 4 identical locks with the same key !! We found this out after installing these and have to pay the locksmith twice and have to return these locks again !! NOT only are they keyed alike all locks have the same key , this sucks because we send them far away and the shipping cost is almost as much as the locks , so we are stuck !! Don,t buy these locks !!

Makes me fee more safe!

I am a woman, not the most mechanically inclined person in the world but I was able to install these locks myself and I feel much safer with them in than I did with the lower quality locks my landlords installed in my front door. The locks are nice look and are solid. I am happy with this purchase.

I had these locks on my doors for a few years now and they work perfectly, never had to oil or maintain them once.
