I use this to lock my helmet and jacket on my motorcycle

This fits in the pocket of my motorcycle jacket. I pull the wire through the sleeves and helmet and lock them to the handlebar when parking in the city. Serves this purpose real well. I'm giving it 4 stars since the key appears a little small and flimsy, but on the other hand, I haven't broken it despite regular use. Maybe it's stronger than it looks. No doubt the wire can be cut with the right tool, but that's the same with all locks.. I'm sure this will keep the random opportunist from stealing my gear.

This is the third time I’ve purchased this lock. I use it on my trail cameras and my son uses one on his bike. I’d recommend it for a slim cable lock.

15 years later, the covering is melting. Covered!

I bought this many years ago to lock up some items for storage. Now, I've dug it out again and the vinyl coating on the cable is breaking down. It's gooey and is leaving a sticky residue on everything it touches. UPDATE - I reached out to Master and they sent me a replacement lock, 15 years later!

A Good Solution To Secure Clubs

I needed a way to secure my golf clubs while left unattended on my cart. Our pro shop sold club cover/cable lock combo, but very expensive. I stumbled on this…which amounts to the cable lock part for a fraction of the price. I simply pull down the cart's back awning, thread this cable through an opening and through to the cart's basket, and then pull taut and lock. The awning no longer can be lifted, which means the clubs can't be accessed. If someone's determined to steal, they could cut through the awning and get them, but this prevents the casual grab and go. It is a bit awkward to lock/unlock as the lock's position is not always facing out and the key is sometimes hard to get in. Nothing terrible though.

These locks are all rounders!

These locks are a great idea! They work to stop an honest person from becoming a thief! I don't know how well the lock body would hold up to hammer blows but the wire certainly will hold out to plyers or hand size wire snips. The locks are easy enough to get on, however the keys are small and can be fiddly to work with. I would say great for a multitude of uses, but won't favour life on the road so much....time will tell. I use mine on the catwalk of my truck to lock up my loading bars, they would also be good for locking the rear doors of a trailer or container either through the handles or round the bars. I'd like the keys to be more robust and bigger for handling in the wet or cold.

Great for locking up kayaks

We need a thin cable that can go through the front end of our kayak where the perforation is for the handle. This worked perfect. I use this to connect 3 kayaks together to my RV.

Awkward locking but it works. One lock, but two cables. Secures the kayaks nicely and deters theft at the campground.
