Best lock yet
Purchased this for my fiancés tool box on his truck and he said it works amazing! Easy to open and lock. We do wish it came with an extra key just in case but it does everything we needed

Only one key and not not bi-direction blade can be using in both sides
Not convenient to use one key which not bi-direction blade can be using in both sides, so need sometimes to insert the key in correct side, it is not good when you use the locker and your hand is not free.

It works
It's lighter than the metal body lock it replaced. Is holding up fine in my tool bag. Plastic body probably wouldn't survive someone trying to break it but seems irrelevant considering it's not meant for security.

Excellent for Locksport / Picking - But Read The WARNING!
For those of us in the Locksport Community, we all know Master Lock is the butt of a great number of jokes because their products are truly horrible. However, this padlock is a rare exception. This lock is NOT designed to withstand physical attacks; the body is made of plastic. However, with a 6-pin core containing all security pin drivers, it's great practice for those looking to sharpen or maintain their skills with spool and serrated pins. My attached pictures give you a look inside the lock. The lock housing is not designed to be opened; the plastic body is sealed. I broke mine open along the seam line and then super-glued it back together. The plug has a standard Master Lock keyway but because the entire core is relatively small, maneuvering your pick can be a little tricky due to limited space. Also, this is a dead core meaning there is no spring tension on the plug. Precision tension therefore becomes very important which is more great practice. My lock (and I assume yours will too) contained 5 spool drivers, 1 serrated driver (having two spaced out serrations), and 6 standard key pins. For prices in the single digits, you just can't beat this lock. Now, if someone could only talk Master Lock into pinning ALL their locks this way... [***WARNING*** ] The opening in the plastic body through which the key is inserted is warded so that when turning the key to unlock it, the key (and therefore the plug) will only rotate 90 degrees before stopping. After successfully picking this lock, DO NOT rotate the plug anywhere near 180 degrees. Stop at 90 like the key does. The reason for this is because if you rotate the core 180 degrees, all of the key pins in the plug will fall out inside the body of the lock. You will then be forced to either throw it away or crack it open and re-pin it. You can see in one of my pictures what the lock will look like once you crack it open if you pick it and rotate the plug too far. All of the key pins are laying loose in a recess.

Great lock
I am a maintenance tech for a furniture company and do maintenance on various machines I use the lock for the intended purpose to lock it out while I perform maintenance on it so others cannot turn it on people really need to learn what OSHA locks are used for and use it for the right reasons and not for crazy stuff there is a reason it comes with one key I love the lock wake up public and use the lock for what it is meant for

High security core on a mis-understood lock
A great intro to these locks is the Lockpick Lawyer's 'Master lock paradox' video, although I see he had similar questions about it's construction as others in the comments. The lock is made of strong thermoplastic to avoid conductivity in electrical workspaces and so it can be removed with a sledgehammer in an emergency. It's main purpose is to lock away dangerous and restricted equipment from curious workers and is therefore equipped with a decent 6-pin brass core with security spools and at least one serrated pin, so to avoid it being picked by a bored worker. It's locking mechanism is ball-bearing and therefore resistant to shimming. I am told most of these locks have 1 serrated pin on pin 5 and on the rest of the pins, spools. The core is a 'dead core' and has no spring-back mechanism. These are a real challenge to pick and after a day of trying I still haven't managed to get it open. I'm even finding it difficult to set any pin or reliably get into a false set! Novices claiming to have picked this lock immediately either got very lucky with the bitting or are extremely talented (or are lying). My bitting was a quite aggressive high-low profile, so I have a real monster on my hands. My only complaint is that there is a little play on the core but this adds to the challenge. Also, the warding outside the padlock can really interfere with the angle of your pick but I am told there is an 'edge' version where the key-way is flush against the shell of the lock. You will probably need some extra thin picks to maximise your chances here. Good luck!!!

Padlock
What on earth is the fascination of lock picking, i actually bought this padlock to isolate electrical supplies, radical i know, but it does the job, well pleased

They only have a single key for a reason...
These are "LockOut" padlocks. They are for workers to lock dangerous things while they are being worked on to keep people safe. If they had more then one key someone else could open the lock and someone could die. They have very good 6 pin cores and also have security pins of different types and are very hard to pick. That makes them great for locksport.
