Sturdy, secure locks.
In use now for my tools. Nice that they're keyed the same, but it would be even better if three keys were included rather than just two.

Decent little lock, seems like it will last a bit longer than the others
This is a standard, basic lock but has a rubber cover over it, and a rubber flap that goes over the keyhole. I will keep the flap open because I've heard that they can gather moisture and build up contaminants inside the keyhole. So unless you can keep the lock upside down, I'd keep it open as well. We are just starting winter so I'll report back on how it fares!

Good for regular use.
I thought they were waterproof but they are not. Water gets in and freezes at night. My fault though for not buying the anti freezing locks. Good sturdy locks for normal non-minnesotian weather

Defective coating? Warranty replacment available.
[EDITED WITH WARRANTY INFO AT BOTTOM] We purchased these 2+ years ago. Within 6 months I noticed the keyholes and inside the protective caps of the two used on outside of our house (underhouse storage, house built on sloped lot) were both turning white. At first I thought it was spiders or something but then a few months later noticed it on the one use to lock the side gate. It's like a white rust. Neither my husband or I have ever seen anything like it. The plastic casing on the most locked/unlocked one has cracked and it's now fairly impossible to pry the cap loose to insert the key. Even after using wd-40 the keys have always been difficult to turn in all 3 locks and must be inserted to relock the padlock. We should have replaced these before now but it's one of those things... we only unlock the sid maybe once a month or less and the storage area a few times a year. I'm ordering new locks now because when I attempted to unlock the gate last week to allow a service man entry it took several minutes to gain access. I'm afraid next time may require bolt cutters! All that being said, we have had fantastic results with all other Master Lock products and unless we encounter a similar situation will continue to purchase their products. I have to believe this particular item missed a step (protective coating?) in the manufacturing process for it to have failed so miserably. Although I don't expect a refund or replacement this far out I will be contacting the manufacturer to make them aware of the problem. A quick look at the Master Lock website and I found this info: One of their electronic locks is warrantied for 1 yr. everything else has a (limited) lifetime warranty. Basically, if you don't do something stupid to break it, it's covered. They will even replace a cable/lock cut by TSA! For fastest and easiest service, simply return the lock to the place of purchase for exchange. You may also contact Master Lock at 1-800-464-2088. For Canadian customers please call 1-800-227-9599. In my case, since we have to replace the locks anyway Amazon CS & I agreed it would be easiest all the way around if I buy a new set and then use that shipping/order info (they linked it to the old order number already) to return the defective locks for refund. I've also sent an email and photos to Master Lock because I truly believe something went wrong with these. I'll do a check once a month on the new ones & report back if we see the same problems.

Good locks for the money and up to locking your garden gates, sheds, storage and so forth
The Master Lock 311TRI Keyed Alike Laminated Steel Padlock 3-Pack is both evidence for and a tribute to the benefits that come to Americans from the pairing of the two phrases "sold by Amazon" and "Made in China". The locks are actually quite good and robust, typical lower priced Master Lock products, and they look to serve well for several years. At the selling price of $20.00 (the price on Amazon at the time of this review) these locks are an incredible bargain. Some people may quibble with the relative weather resistance of these locks. The locks being clad in a rubberized shell and sold as weather resistant seems to make some people expect military grade hardware able to stand tall after twenty years in the jungle and several frontal assaults. But, to be realistic, these locks will serve well for your average garden gate, outside storage and so forth and, at the price, is it really a tragedy if they are replaced after several years service? I think not. These seem a real deal and good value to me. RECOMMENDED.

should use a graphite spray to lubricate
I bought the Master Lock 311TRI Keyed Alike Laminated Steel Padlock , 3-Pack as a gift to my friend. He is using them on his new car trailers. The trailer has 3 doors and he needed / wanted all the looks to be keyed alike. He lives in Michigan and the black covers on these locks are perfect for outdoor use. I read a few reviews and people are using WD-40 as a lubricant. "WD" stands for "water displacement" so unless you are using these in a rainy or wet application that will not work. If you want to lubricate a lock you should use a graphite spray. Like this one from RustOleum.RustOleum 273925 Lubricants and Cleaners Dry Graphite, 20 fl oz Container Size, Can (Pack of 6) Master Lock is the #1 selling USA made lock sold in the world. When you are locking your goods you need to stick with #1.

Great lock, Great price!!
I purchased this set of three locks to use one to lock up my spare tire under my truck, so it is continually exposed to the elements. So far I have had no issues with the lock rusting or being hard to open. The rubber casing on the lock helps to keep mud and dirt from getting into the internals of the lock, keeping it in good working order for longer. I also like the flap on bottom that covers the keyhole, as that is usually a common area for a lock to rust and get dirt in making the key hard to turn, so far I have had none of those issues. Another benefit is that all of the locks are keyed alike giving you the ability to use the locks in different places but only having to carry one key. Overall I would highly recommend this lock to anybody looking for something sturdy and that is going to withstand the elements better than a standard padlock.

Good product
Quality as expected.

Not water resistant!
Bought these as Master in a quality name. Thinking these might be cheap clones, as they are not water resistant whatsoever. Water get in easily, and lockers jam up, making the key useless. Used lube the first time just to open them. I have have similar from Master before ( bought at hardware store) that lasted many years, with no water nor snow problems.

Good locks but only two keys
Good locks but only comes with two keys. Have to go make a copy so it works for what we want.

Not Satisfied
I am very unhappy with these Master Locks, good name, not so good product. One lock I put on my shed 2 weeks ago and shows signs of water damage and it had seized. It was given a shot of machine oil before use and again to open it but now the key sticks.
