Why? Because name brand products have high quality standards and stand behind what they sell; that includes Martha. So, if there is a defect, I can look to Martha to honor her warranty. Further, when I want to add to my growing collection, I can look to Martha to likely have what I want. Which brings me confidence in any Martha product, including this cookware, a two (2) piece set of Dutch Ovens, with lids. Great gift, but poor presentation package, a non-retail cardboard package. I am super excited about the Martha brand; and these Two (2) 5½-inch enamel on steel mini-Dutch ovens with lids only adds to my appreciation. I think Martha cookware is built for every type of cook in my household. To begin, this cookware looks gorgeous, I love the color and design, they feel durable, and weigh-in with reasonable substance. These are no flimsy Dutch Ovens, and neither is each lid, which each weighs-in, with their lid, at about 14½ ounces. Without the lid, 11 ounces. The lid weighs in at about 3½ ounces. I like cookware that weighs-in and feels as good as these do, especially as small they are. No lightweights for me please. I love its overall appearance and especially think the overall color give these a unique designer look; they look great. The Dutch Ovens is enamel on steel, the Dutch Ovens heat nicely and have good temperature control, allowing my food to be evenly cooked. I could not detect any high or low temperature spots. I found this to give me a bit of a challenge to clean. These are not recommended for the dishwasher. The handles are sturdy, but I always war oven mitts or used a silicone rubber holders when I wanted to touch them, while in use. All the hardware, including the handles, are thick and have a solid feel. No bending, warping, or wobbling. I think this Dutch Ovens are near excellent.” I say near because there were some paint defects, here and there. I get what I pay for, and I am willing to pay for quality. I really was not disappointed, rather, very happy with selecting these. Truly a nice decision to select for my needs. Our toddler saw this and was amazed over its good looks and their first spoken thought was this could be used in preparation for our Easter feast... Yes, and something to pass onto the next generation, that’s how nice these are. ;0) The price is mid-level. But considering its location of manufacture, Indonesia, these are a bargain, when considering the totality for a Martha item. I hope my pics and thoughts add information.
