Stripped out after 5 miles

My original crank had stripped out, so I ordered this as a replacement. I screwed in the new pedal with anti-seize and tightened it to spec. The same person went riding and the pedal stripped out again. I am going to replace this with steel ones and do it right.

Simple And Functional Std Left-Crank Arm

In between upgrading my 1983 Schwinn Traveler drivetrain, wouldn’t you know it, parts wanted are not in and original parts are failing faster than I can get them delivered. This is a simple and functional part… that I would certainly leave on, if I wasn’t upgrading to Hollowtech II. The best part? Under $10!

After install on first ride felt completely WRONG! Took a close look. Square opening for shaft is off by about 45 degrees so left and right pedals are NOT AT 180 degrees! Who would have thought! Now I have to hassle with return plus I needed my bike to go right then. MAJOR NEGATIVE RATING? BEWARE!!!!!!!! I am not bike mechanic but should I scrutinize product description before purchase to make sure of proper alignment? Just assumed no such concern necessary.
