Good if you put it into the right shaper.

I bought this for a Delta shaper which it does fit into. But it isn't the proper size shank which causes it to have a slight wobble no matter how tight you make the draw bar. I modified it slightly and made it seat better than the original and I put tape around the shaft to keep it more steady. The build of the adapter is good and works well. If it went into the proper shaper for which it was designed for I'm sure I would have given it 4+ stars. I was said to work by other reviewers and it does, just not as well as it would if it was properly fitted. I have since ordered this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FMWKL8H?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details Which is suppose to be an exact fit for my machine in case anyone is looking for the spindle for a 3HP Delta shaper 43-379. I have yet to receive the adapter and cannot say for certain that it will work. It is in the list of shapers it says it will fit so I believe it will be the proper adapter for my machine. This adapter worked in a pinch and came 2nd day. I needed it right now and was able to complete my job using it.

VERY POORLY MADE

first one and the second one was about 5thousands out of round, which gives it much vibration. They sent me a second one as I said and it is not good either. I would have tried to send it back as well, but I have no way to contact anyone at Amazon or the manufacturer. Very poor system on both counts.

Fits my Grizzly G1035 shaper

Nice having a cheap option for my G1035 shaper. I have a really nice router table but sometimes I like having the option to use my shaper with power feeder, this comes in handy instead of always buying expensive shaper cutters.

Fit my spindle but not my shaper

Wanted to retro fit a shaper into a router table. Fit my spindle but not my shapper. Looks like it will technically work, but I can't get it down far enough or fence back enough to be used on my old Grizzly.

Works with an old delta shaper.

This converted my old delta shaper to a router table. Happy happy. Works well; tip speed is slightly slower than a router but it does work.

Shank Size

This spindle should not be used in a 3HP shaper. The shank is 0.500" and 3HP shapers are 0.610". They may "fit" but if there is a significant possibility that it will come loose and cause damage to your work or possibly the user. The 1/4" bit collet? Either it was missing or the description is wrong. This item is for a 1.5HP shaper only from any shaper I've used. Returned - better description of the spindle shank diameter would be appropriate.
