Perfect replacement

This is a durable, quality product. My original screen latches were at least 30 years old, so I replaced them all. Could not ask for a better replacement!

Worked great

These fit great and worked perfectly. And I even received a few extra pieces like springs and caps which made it a lot less stressful.

Watch the length.

Agree with others it is very difficult to get the right size due to inconsistent or nonexistent dimensions from the manufacturer. My Al screen width is 0.75” . The pin fits thru the existing holes just fine but with an overall length of 1.75”, is about 0.25” too long to function properly. Would have been 5 stars if more clearly labeled. Hope this helps.

Some drilling required

Instructions were detailed and well written. Product was very solid and will last a lifetime unlike those all plastic pins. Great product overall.

Hooray for metal!

The old plastic ones get brittle and break so thumbs up for metal ones! These we're slightly bigger than the originals but the screen frames are aluminum so it is easy to wallow out the hole a bit, just push and twist until it slides in...

Tricky to get the right size

The description of this and other similar products give dimensions but it is a little difficult to ensure you are buying latches that are the correct length. To be specific, it isn't clear from the dimensions (even on the manufacturer's website) how much travel there is when compressing the spring. If not enough, you won't be able to get the frame out of the window opening without bending the frame slightly. I happened to pick the right size and the installation was simple and the latches work great. I only wish the caps were white, not black.

The pull tab broke off of the original plungers and these fit perfectly.

Good quality... but,

I think these are good quality. What I didn’t like about them is I feel the hole you need to drill through the frame to accommodate them compromises the strength of the frame. I elected to install my screen differently.
