Thieves are not breaking into the new mailbox

We have severe mail theft problems on our street. The week after I installed this mailbox, our neighbors had their mailboxes broken into almost every day. They didn't even bother with this one. Now, all but one person have upgraded to this mailbox. My only complaint is the key. It is small, but covered in bulky plastic, making is as thick as 3 normal keys. It would be much better if they had an all metal, thin profile key that can go on a normal set of house keys.

Big. Sturdy. Some iffy parts.

I needed a locking mailbox outside my gate so nail carrier need not deal with my dog. I chose this box to mount on a preexisting 4x4 post. There are 4 holes in the bottom of the box for lag screws to secure the box onto a wooden PTL post. It would have been helpful I suppose if there was a paper template included in order to guide the drilling. Also, included drill bit was badly bent and unusable, and one of the lag screws had a misshapen head requiring me to use a slightly larger driver.

Awesome mailbox

Loved it before I even installed it. It’s a heavy box with heavy gauge metal. Easy to install. It even came with the 4 lag bolts and drill bit to drill the pilot holes. Took about 15 minutes to install.

like a tank !

we were sick of our mail being stolen and this was the best purchase ever! came with screws and a drill bit ! very easy to put in especially if you're replacing an old one. Just stet the new one in place mark the holes with a sharpie remove box and drill holes! put the box back and drive crews and you're done! the key is not a regular key either would be hard to pick and your mail stays safe because you cant get you r hand in the box very far. Just enough room to put in mail or small packages. I would highly recommend this product!

Best mail Box , plate and post . Easy installation

My neighbor and I changed our mail box and it was easy to replace the old standard mail box with the new post , plate and mail box. Now others on my street are planning to change their standard mail box to one like mine !

Protects my mail!

I liked just about everything about it. The only thing is if there is a box that is to big; the mailman has to get out and place it on the porch. Still potential for theft.

Very well made mail box! If you want security of your mail don't pass this one up! Bigger than expected which is a plus ! Well worth the money.If you can afford it get the metal post that goes to this mailbox.but if not it looks just fine with a 4x4 mailbox post as well. Add a 2x6 base plate to post and its perfect fit. Concrete is pretty much a must because of the weight. Again this box is not a joke! I would say this mailbox would withstand a 22 rim fire bullet at point blank range! I would try it but it looks to good to mess up. Key is a secure key as well. Be very hard to pick if even possible. Had a problem with people stealing our mail because USPS forced us to put box's on main road .said our road was to rough to come down. When I got this mailbox and installed it everybody asked me were to buy one and everybody got them now.thats how good these mailboxes are !

Roomy, strong, and secure

I like it, but it’s much larger than the neighbors’ mailboxes. I suggest you check your measurements. It’s not only huge, it’s built like a fortress—very good quality. I wish there was a non-locking option—a pull I could attach instead of the key lock. I’d prefer that option. I don’t like to have to have my key on me to clear out my mail. In my neighborhood, I don’t feel a lock is necessary.

Sturdy, functional and striking appearance.

Ordered this as a birthday present for boyfriend after hearing about recent mail thefts in our rural area. Arrived on time and when I went to pick it up at post office could not believe how heavy the box was. Opened it and was totally awestruck by the look and quality of mailbox. Installation was easy and mailbox looks amazing mounted on its post. Would highly recommend this product.

Well made, good lock, very straight-forward to install. Particularly appreciated for my mailbox location which is near the street and hidden from the house. I'm pretty sure that I've had my mail pilfered in the past, and I'm happy to be able to thwart thieves with this secure mailbox. Today was its first day "on the job" and when I went out to collect my mail, the little flag was raised (by the mailman), so I knew that he'd been there and there was something to pick up. Got this at a great price from Warehouse Deals, so I couldn't be happier. :)
