RUNS VERY SMALL.

While we do like this hat, it runs incredibly small and unfortunately we won't be getting much use out of it. I bought this before my daughter even reached 6 months, with the expectation it would fit her all winter since it is sized 6-12 months. My daughter does not have an abnormally large head or anything and this hat barely fits her, and looks absolutely ridiculous when clasped closed, PROS: Good quality,holds well in washer, no loose threads or other issues, convenient closure, adorable, warm CONS: RUNS VERY SMALL. I do think this hat worth purchasing if you order a full size up. I saw a few other reviews mention this, but considering my daughter would only be 8 months at the end of the winter, I thought the 6-12 month size would be sufficient. I was wrong-- Order bigger!

I like the concept behind Magnificent Baby, but this is only "ok"

I like the idea of parents creating products especially for babies, and during this particularly harsh winter in New York City, I was looking for a good quality hat that would cover my baby's ears snugly -- this seemed like a good buy. I thought it was clever that magnets were used for the clasps, it seemed very modern to me. My son is a little less than average in weight, but this hat has never fit his head well; the magnet clasp works under the chin, but comes apart easily, and I find I have to keep checking it, redoing it, or tucking it into his snowsuit. In recent weeks, the threading has come apart along all the seams; just yesterday my husband said "Well, he can't wear this anymore, it's falling apart." I've used it a bit this winter, but wouldn't recommend buying this.

Too small and bad design

It is so tiny. I got a 0-6 months, when my baby was only 2 months old, it didn’t fit, and my babygirl has a very small head (mom would know- we are only 35% percentile, meaning 65% of American kids at that age have larger heads). And this hat was too small even for our child! And design is off it seems like. It’s super short and cut off at the back, so it doesn’t protect the head at all. Otherwise it’s soft etc. Another issue is it seems like the magnet doesn’t really work, they don’t clip (maybe because the size was off so it won’t close). I have other Magnificent baby cloths that I ordered directly from the site- and the magnet works really great. Their hats are off though. I have 3 that I missed a return window for (from the website)- because well new mom who has for the time. And all of them are weird size. So I would just assume they are not good at making hats. Their cloths (onesies) are super convenient though, I loved those

Love this little bear hat

Love this little bear hat! Super soft and comfortable. It's the only hat my little guy has been wearing this winter. I really like how easy the magnetic straps are to use, but am a bit worried that the circular magnets in there could be a terrible choking hazard once little guy starts chewing, if he were able to somehow get them out of the fabric. Probably won't buy the next size up due to this fear.

Warm hat; love the magnet

Got this hat for my 3-month old; it's a bit big still, but it's soft and warm, and I like that there are no strings for him to get his fingers wrapped in or choke on. The only thing is that I don't understand why it's symmetrical; you want the entire back of the head covered but not the face. This requires a little bit of adjusting, and usually by the end of the car ride, it's covering his eyes anyway, which he's not always okay with, and it makes for some long car rides.

Super small!

So cute but didn’t fit my chubby guy. He’s 3 months and it wouldn’t go around his cheeks! LOL. It’s was short in the back too, just barely covered the back of his head. Material is soft and seems like it would keep baby warm though. Going to return for the bigger size.

My child is 18 months and has always been true to size or on the small side. I ordered 12-18 months and it’s too small. I love the quality so I’ll be returning to size up!

Super cute and soft

Super cute and soft, well-made hat, but seems to run small, as my almost 5 month old's big head would not fit into the 6-12 month size lol but to be fair, his head is in the 80th percentile. Just want to make other parents of big headed babies aware :)

The inner lining isn't soft, and the straps are comically long - with the magnetic closures at the ends, so they dangle down & don't hold the hat on very well.

Have 2 of these and love them. We end up tying up the ends as the magnets don’t work well. Tying them is still good and my son looks super cute in the hat.

WAY too big

Very disappointed... I ordered this hat for my 13 month old son that is wearing 18-24 month clothing so I figured the 18-24m size would be perfect. This hat is absolutely massive and is too big for me. I ordered the mittens and loved them so much so I figured I would try the hat..big mistake :(

Cute and soft but fits very big.

Cute hat, nice and soft with good magnet to hold flaps closed. Only complaints would be its a bit thin and it fits very big. I bought 0-6 month for my 3 month old who is wearing size 6 month clothes. I doubt this hat will fit for several months yet. Even though it's too big to use yet I did wash and dry it. It came out like new.
