Great mechanics, it works great for my Moka machine (if you have strong hands)
It is very nice, great looking and it works. I bought instead of a Bialetti Perfetto Moka (MacinaCaffe) because it takes too much time and it was plastic and fragile and I broke it. The Peugeot Kronos is sturdy so far, and built with high-quality materials. But there is a drawback in operation, the Bialetti take very long time but it was easy to turn the handle, I got bored waiting to complete 2 cups measurement, but I did not get physically tired. The Kronos need strength to turn the handle in the Moka grind size. I guess that for Espresso, even more, it does have a thick rubber base so you have to position it on a table and grab it firmly and push it down because with every turn it will lift up easily. The plastic brown coffee recipient is slippery, if you want to grind without pushing it down in the table it will slip. I find myself that using a pair of kitchen rubber gloves helped a lot to keep it in place, but I would prefer a better design to hold on and keep the grip while holding it. This said, my grandma cannot use it because of this, it is just a heads up from my personal experience, overall the Kronos is great if you have a good grip and strong hands.

Solid construction, hard to use.
This thing will last for ever. It's hard to pour beans into the top, they want to bounce off the structural metal. Beans do not feed evenly into the grinding area, so you have to do a lot of shaking to grind everything. The capacity is around 40g of coffee, so, about enough for 12oz in my French Press. Ground coffee adheres electrostatically to the plastic container.

Mechanically perfect and design wise, a work of art
Grind primarily at level for pour over, no problems. Appreciate that for fine grinds, can take significant elbow grease.

High quality coffee grinder
I bought this from amazon uk. It has high quality steel burrs with plastic base. It’s a good “zero” retention hand coffee grinder for drip coffee. It has fairly fine adjustments to get correct grind. The ergonomics of design of hand crank and base is it’s only flaw. It’s quite difficult to turn handle for drip grind and somewhat difficult to hold base and keep it from spinning. Espresso grind would be almost impossible. But it’s doable for drip coffee and I use it every day. You get consistent grinds and it’s easy to adjust grind.

Difficult to grind
Looks great and sleek, extremely simple to use with perfectly even grinds. So the only problem is it requires a lot of strength to hold this thing down when your grinding or your beans are going everywhere. I have to hold it in between my knees while grinding to keep it stable. So would I recommend this to a friend??? No.

Well built grinder.
I have owned this two months now. I use it every morning for coffee. I was concerned about the reviews saying that is hard and awkward to hold. I would agree it might be a little awkward but it is not at all difficult. It is study and grind coffee very well. If you want a week built coffee grinder buy this.

Not....
Not user frendly. To hard to "grasp" while grinding, core just to big ( or say poor holding design) to hold, needing and e extra hand....!! But....grinds great...if u don't mind the not so easy to hold....???? My other slim works way easier....but not grinding as nice as this one ????

Best grinder yet!
Consistent grind you don’t have to twiddle and readjust as with other grinders. Very easy to use.

Accurate and fast grinding
Grind seems uniform compared to a Hario ceramic burr grinder I have, and this one is much quicker at grinding too. It is a bit difficult to hold/grip, but I'm just happy that the grind quality makes my coffee much better.

Excellent if you need a very fine grind
Bought this as I have a Peugeot Pepper grinder and it is excellent. I had a cheap coffee grinder but the grind was never fine enough for my Moka pot or Espresso machine. This device produces a very fine suitable grind at it's maximum setting, however be aware that at this grind you need quite a lot of physical effort to grind it, and this is not helped by the fact that the bottom part is quite slippy to hold, and makes it easy to spill the beans if you have it a bit full. My sister has a traditional Peugeot "box" grinder, but this produces superior results. Despite these shortcomings, it is still 5* because the build and grind quality is excellent. I paid about £67 shipped, which is a good £30 less than from Peugeot direct.

Read the reviews before buying
Fab looking item, overpriced and dismal ergonomics. The plastic container feels cheap and slippery unless you have giant sized hands to hold it and pin it down with a grip of iron this item is unusable for the average person. Not only that the mechanism ground to a complete halt on the fine setting. For those of us looking for a quality versatile manual grinder this definitely isn’t it. Thanks to Amazon prime promptly returned and refunded.

Useless for fine grind
I bought this item twice in case the first was defective, but basically fine grind is useless - the beans don't drop into the mech, so the arm spins around without effect. It took 5 mins to get a pinch of ground coffee.

And it isn't made in China, whoop, whoop.
This is excellent, I also have pepper and salt mills, and they are made in France :-)
