This one is fine
After reading all the terrible problems people have had with grinders of all brands I was almost afraid to purchase one. I have had it now for about five months and I have not had any of the problems that people have complained about, although some people seem to have rather high expectations for this type of grinder. Of course with any product there can be lemons but my experience with this one has been good so far. I do not give five star reviews because they often sound phony. By the way with all the robocalls I get these days the word phony has an interesting new slant. The Oxford English Dictionary says “phony” (it uses the British spelling “phoney”) is “probably a variant of fawney,” an old slang term for a finger ring. The OED says “fawney” comes from fáine, Irish for ring. How, you’re probably wondering, could the Irish word for a ring be the ultimate source of “phony”? The missing link here is an old confidence game known by such terms as “fawney dropping,” “going on the fawney,” or the “fawney rig.” (A “rig” was a trick or swindle.)

So easy to use!
Just got this sleek little coffee grinder to replace our large, problematic Crux grinder. The Crux would often jam up even with a small amount of beans and was very messy. This little Krups was a breeze to use! I like my beans coarsely ground, so I just pulsed the grinder like you would a food processor. Perfect grind on the first try! I definitely recommend it.

Replaced a 15-year old model of the same grinder
This is the updated model of the last grinder I bought 15 or so years ago. I use it every day and expect to get eh same life out of this one as I did the last one.

Does What It Is Supposed To Do.
My wife and I purchased this item from Amazon about two months ago after our little $14.99 spice grinder gave up the ghost after four years of faithful, if not exactly outstanding service. We decided to go with the Krups unit for two reasons; The Krups name is synonymous with quality, and as we're coffee snobs we wanted something that would give the consistent results that our late spice grinder (all too often yielding a mixture of powder and chunks) didn't. PROS 1) Upon opening the package we immediately noticed that the Krups, while a little smaller than the former grinder, is probably twice as heavy. It is constructed of stainless steel with a heavy transparent plastic top. While the other unit ground with a high-pitched whine, the Krups has a more authoritative, lower-pitched sound to it. The overall quality is apparent. 2) The grind is MUCH more even. We found early on that if we fill the top reservoir exactly level full, and grind for about two seconds after the last bean disappears from the top into the mix, the yield is a pretty even medium grind. A few seconds more will yield a finer grind. I don't know if other brands of beans will grind in the same way but so far we've used several different brands and the results have been the same. 3) My wife says that it goes well with our kitchen decor (mainly stainless steel everything). I'm no judge of style so I'll take her word for it. 4) Cleaning is not a problem. We don't clean it. We used our old grinder for other things besides just coffee, which meant frequent cleaning unless we enjoyed dried chili pepper powder in our coffee, which we don't. If we change brands a quick wipe inside the basket and top with a paper towel does just fine. CONS 1) This is not a criticism of the unit or its function, but we like a REALLY strong brew and a full hopper of beans yields a brew that is just a little weak for us, though it is more than strong enough for guests, who usually add a bit of water to tame it down. It is no problem to grind a bit more, it just would be handier if the capacity was just a bit bigger. 2) The unit is not non-slip; instead it stands on six tiny (maybe 1/8") rounded nubs on the bottom. We would have preferred non-slip, but again this is far from a deal-breaker. BOTTOM LINE Discounting our personal preferences, this is a solid, well-designed and crafted grinder that I expect will give years of satisfactory service. We would most certainly buy it again.

Easy to use
I've been dehydrating cheese for Mac and cheese. Absolutely fabulous in grinding it so it can be stored. Also great for spices, well almost anything you need grinded.

Great Coffee Grinder
I have owned the same Krups Coffee Grinder in white for over 30 years! Had to replace because the clear hard plastic cap began to chip. Purchased the very same Krups Coffee Grinder recently--stainless steel. Great coffee grinder and the only thing I would change would be in the interior where the beans are ground. The interior rim is black and you cannot tell if the beans are fully ground. My older model had a white interior which made it easier to see the ground coffee through the cap. Otherwise, I really like Krups products and this little machine is no exception.

I am an Amazon Prime Member who is Very Upset/ Disappointed This Item is sold to customers in the UK but cannot be used as it has a flat 2 blade plug on this electrical item Rendering it ABSOLUTELY USELESS ! Amazon should NOT be selling this item for use in the UK. I have had to return the item as per your instructions ref: labelling etc VERY TIME CONSUMING. The Cost of Postage was over £27 ! In Addition I had to pay for Fuel to get to the Post Office in Bury St Edmunds I ask for your IMMEDIATE RESPONSE MRS ROSALIND DE VICK

Rubbish. Supplied with an american plug and rated to 110V so as soon as it was used the motor started burning.

I didn’t like first having to buy adapter before able to use and the fact that it broke on first use to grind coffee beans
