Buy this
Does it vibrate and move on the counter? No Does it shoot out half popped cornels everywhere? No Does one scoop fill that industrial bowl in your base cabinet? Yes Does it make your popcorn fluffier? Yes Does it have a neat little fan feature that gets all the popcorn out? Yes Will you regret buying any other popcorn maker? Yes Do you like the feeling of regret? You do. Ok. This isn’t for you.

Best electric hot air popper
I have had two Presto air poppers in the past and was frustrated with popcorn flying outside of the bowl along with many unpopped kernels. The Cuisinart is great! Everything stayed in the bowl. I used 1/4 cup of kernels and only five were not at all popped. The on/off switch feels safer … and the parts of the machine that touch the popcorn are BPA free. This machine was more expensive, but it is worth it!

Pop goes the corn
I really wanted the red metallic color, so I was mildly disappointed that they sent me just the plain red. But the plain red is a glorious color so I'm getting over my problem-of-a-privileged-person. It works fine. It produces a bigger popped kernel than the microwave thing I was using. I took off a star because it took forever to get here. I mean weeks. 25 days to be exact.

Throws popcorn around making a mess
I am still looking for the ideal bowl for this thing as it throws popcorn around my kitchenette as it pops. Otherwise this is a great little appliance, especially for the price.

Good! A little loud though
I’m a sucker for popcorn, but I hated how bad the microwaveable ones are for you (not the nutritional value—or lack thereof—but the technology that they use). I opted for this product because it is the only BPA-free counter top popcorn maker I could find on the market. I use this frequently. It is a little loud, but it makes great popcorn, so I can’t complain too much. I only fill it about 3/4 or 4/5 of the max capacity. For my first attempt, I put in the max capacity of kernels and half of them popped, and the other half burned. The popped kernels tend to trap the unpopped/half popped kernels, and it will result in burnt bits. That being said, a little bit of “weight/covering” from popped kernels help the unpopped ones reach proper temperature to pop. I have made smaller batches, but kernels tend to get thrown out more easily. Kernels will fly out regardless of how much or how little you make, so be aware of HOT flying kernels, especially if you have pets. The butter melting cup is a plus. It can melt cold butter in minutes. Easy to clean because there is virtually no clean up — just brush away the little bits still in the popcorn maker, and that’s it. The only parts to wash are the top and butter cup, but it can be simply wiped down if you are not melting any butter, just like the rest of the unit. I would highly recommend this product!

OMGoodness-It's Great If You Put a Big Bowl Under It, Worth the Extra $$$. (so far-will update if needed)
So, I love this. I wore a Presto one out-after 1.5 years of 3-5 times a week use. With the Presto one-the lid cracked after about 6 months-I just sort of rigged it to make it okay. The Presto plastic got so hot and almost felt a little melted after every use. Anyway- I almost didn't buy this because of all the "OMG!! It the hot air makes the popcorn fly everywhere!!!"-thank goodness I ignored those reviews (no offense to the popcorn coming out disliking people. ) Anyway-yes popcorn does come out of the shoot-becaue it is corn that "pops" when the hot air makes it hot enough-go figure. :) Good Buy (for me at least) because- Feels more sturdy than Presto. Has an on/off switch (Presto is auto on when plugged in-kinda feel like its a race against time when-plugging and unplugging. Looks better (it's out so much-it needs too-for my decorator want-to-be self) Bad for some reviewers, I wouldn't have even noticed without the complaints, no matter its a solvable (and predictable "issue") - When popping popcorn with a hot air popper-put a bowl the size of a Kitchen Aid mixer bowl-sort of in front of it-the first few times just watch it to see where the popcorn comes out. That will catch it all-I use that-but the bowl back under the mixer-and put popcorn in a bowl for flavoring/storing. I hardly ever loose any-if you're really worried about it-but a bowl in the sink and put the popper on the edge of the sink. I love it-glad I ignored "flying popcorn!" reviews and spent the extra $$$. If it ends up with any issues like I had with the others-I'll update because I'll feel ripped of for paying so much more. -I have no time to write any (mother of 3 who are 4 y/o and under-plus I work) I do it because I read reviews for 100% of the many (and by many-I mean many-UPS guy knows my family-and we had him over to watch the Super Bowl!) Sooooo if you find this helpful, please say so-otherwise I'll probably use this time to do laundry. Or sleep.

Popcorn makers that burn popcorn suck
I have no idea what's up with this popcorn popper but all it does is burn popcorn. It seems the fan in it is not strong enough to blow the popcorn out of the bottom so it just sits in there and burns. Honestly a piece of garbage will not reccommend.

Not as powerful as older units
This unit pops well as long as you only fill to the minimal level. Unlike the older Cuisinart model that I had for many years, this unit maxes out at a level scoop and has a tendency to burn if I fill it even at 1.25 scoops. I am a bit disappointed

I was very disappointed in this popcorn maker as it is not very big, and pops not much popcorn contrary to what it says. Not only that it doesn't even pop all the kernels. I have previously owned a Sunbeam years ago which was an awesome popcorn maker and my last one was a Presto which lasted only a year. I feel like returning it because it is not a very good popcorn maker. For the price it is not worth it. I thought because it was a Cuisinart it was going to be a good one but probably the most disappointing thing I have purchased on Amazon. So the part where the popcorn goes in should be made bigger and maybe the way it heats the popcorn should be revamped because it appears to not be heating it very well, which is why all the kernels aren't popping.

It only pops 1/4 cup at a time or else it lifts the top right off (and well, we had popcorn everywhere), but it does a good job of getting most of the popped corn into your bowl. The heat melts the butter most times, too!

Seems to make great popcorn. My only complaint is that I have to use a spatula to keep the kernels from flying out as it pops which isn't the end of the world, just a little annoying.
