Overall - Good Product! Would Recommend!

*Initial Experience* I’m rating this appliance 4 stars due to the product received arriving with a skillet pan upon which the lid could not fit ((pictured)) as the pan was irregularly shaped upon arrival - one side being round, the other being more of an oval. Additionally, post trying the product (the which I had not done prior to coming to an agreed upon resolve regarding the aforementioned with Amazon Customer Service), the indicator light did not turn on at any time while the unit was plugged it. Considering this item was ordered via Amazon Warehouse ‘Used - Like New’, I cannot say what factors played a part in the product being in the condition it was in upon arrival - the listing only noting the original box was damaged. Although damage to the actual product, to include the indicator light malfunction was not listed, this rating only deducts 1 star as I truly appreciate the Amazon customer support rep that assisted me - helping make a not so pleasant experience buying an electrical cooking appliance from Amazon Warehouse for the first time brighter by extending a “one-time curtesy”… Now to the good stuff about the Nostalgia MyMini Electric Skillet & Noodle Maker that also factor into this 4 star rating. :) *Cooking ‘Tester’ Experience* When it comes to heating up, the appliance I received does heat up despite the indicator light never coming on at any time. While I was unable to effectively use the pan’s lid during the heating and cooking process, I tested the skillet pan by scrambling eggs mixed with some rice I had already cooked prior to using this appliance ((pictured)). It cooked very well. I was well pleased with the overall performance. *Final Thoughts* I am impressed with the Nostalgia MyMini Electric Skillet & Noodle Maker - so much so that I informed a number of individuals about it post trying it. This is a product experience that I wish I could have rated 5 stars as the Nostalgia MyMini Electric Skillet & Noodle Maker is an appliance that I can see myself using often. It’s also one that I would buy again as a gift for others, as well as myself - brand new this time of course. :) ___________ UPDATE: After repeated attempts at shaping the skillet pan, I was able to stretch the skillet pan enough to make the lid fit the pan. It’s not a perfect fit considering how it started out, but I’ll take it. :) Now I’m looking forward to really seeing what this little gadget can do. - Thankful!

After 2 years

I originally bought this little skillet because I thought it would be good for my son to make Ramen noodles when he was home from school during the summer. But, like so many other people I was disappointed that the ramen doesn't fit the greatest. (Yes, you can break it into pieces and put just enough water in to cook it, but it's not the easiest to eat when the noodles are in tiny pieces.) I ended up taking this to work and it has been one of the best purchases I have made! I have been using it for almost the past 2 years at my desk at work. I've used it for ramen, mac n cheese, pancakes, eggs, toasting hamburger buns, bagels, english muffins, and more. I've used it to warm precooked meats (leftover hamburgers and hot dogs cut in half) and I often lined the skillet with aluminum foil if it was messy to make clean up easy. It's obviously only good for a single person so it works for me. I was really happy when I was reading through some reviews and saw someone mentioned the pots below. These fit in the skillet so you can have a bigger pot! It's so much easier to cook ramen or mac n cheese! pretty good for ramen or frying an egg

this this was a little smaller than i was thinking, but it did the job when using it to make ramen. instant ramen will have to be broken into smaller pieces to fit better in the skillet/pot, but it will all fit. there's no temperature control, just an on/off switch. it will take a few minutes to preheat, but it's not a long wait. i would have liked to see it with some sort of temperature control, but it was pretty nice.

Handy

I really like this little burger maker. I use it quite often. It is so quick and easy and the burger is very good cooked in it. And it is easy to clean. Would be a great gift for college kids or teenagers in my opinion.

a handy dandy little kitchen gadget

It does exactly what it says on the box. It's easy to use and easy to clean, and it's easy to store. Triple threat right there. Average temperature control, but it's not meant to be a sophisticated piece of culinary engineering. It's for stuff like eggs, ramen, and the like, and for that stuff it does the trick. -- Recommended.

love this product

I tired of cleaning the stove. This uses less energy and feel full just by looking at it. I was skeptical about it at first. But i am amazed how much can be cooked in this small thing.

Most slices of bread to big and unit won't close properly

I was very excited to get this. Loved the color and the thought of having a small sandwich maker. Hardly takes up any room on kitchen counter. Looks real nice. No on off switch and although I buy normal sized bread it won't all fit in maker. Very disappointing. I think the only size bread that will fit properly is the really thin weight watchers bread. I never tried anything but making a grilled cheese sandwich. Cheese made a mess but was really easy to clean up.

Cool appearance, but cooks too slow...

As the title said, while the appearance of the griddle is actually really nice and the overall size of the item is compact, it does carry with it some caveats. The first is that it cooks waaay too slowly to be useful. It took about 5 minutes to cook

Small, but mighty!! :)

The media could not be loaded. It definitely is much smaller than expected, however it heats up incredibly quickly and does an excellent job. I got this because I'm working from home and can cook at my desk while I work. So far I've made meatballs, sliced sausages and over easy eggs. Honestly surprised it fit that many meatballs. Easy to use and doesn't take up much space. I took off a star for the size, but for a single person it's really great over all. Very pleased with this purchase! :) Edit: Ive just made ramen in it and it holds much more liquid than i thought it would. Went back in to boil a tiny bit more water after but it was fast and my meal was amazing. 5 stars!
