Good Coffee
This coffee maker makes great coffee but the maker has issues. The lid WILL NOT stay on. If you are on a hurry, this is not the coffee maker for you. Takes about 6 minutes for water to warm, then it has to brew. We use it daily, but I would not purchase it again.

A Great Coffee maker besides one minor issue
First off, I have to say Bunn knows what they are doing when it comes to brewing coffee. There is a reason they are in most commercial establishments for their coffee needs. As for this coffee maker, it works well besides one minor flaw. The first thing I like about it, is that it brews coffee at the perfect temperature. Coffee needs to be brewed between 195 and 205 to extract the flavor of the beans. This coffee maker does that perfectly. I measured the temperature of the brew to be 200 degrees, which is in the proper range. It might take a little longer to heat the water, but it's well worth the wait. If you put warm water in the reservoir, it will cut that time down from the normal 6 minutes it takes to heat it. After it heats, it brews the coffee quite quickly. The only flaw I've come across from the brewing process is that after about 2 weeks it leaks a little bit of water from the Coffee basket and drips a little down the side of the unit. Other users have reported this as well. From what I can tell it has to do with the spray head. It must not be spraying evenly down into the basket and it sprays the top of the basket and drips a little down the side of it and onto the base of the unit. It's not a lot of water, but it's annoying that you have to wipe it clean after every time you brew a pot. I have water that has a lot of minerals in it and I have to attribute it to that. It didn't do it in the first 2 weeks of usage, but I noticed it on or about the 3rd week. I'm going to try and clean the spray head with vinegar and see if that helps. I figured I could get a month out of it before I had to clean any part of it. Since I do have Heavy mineralized water, I will probably run cycle of Vinegar through the unit itself once a month. I called Bunn and they suggested I do this as well. I asked them if they had another spray head that I could buy and they said that the one that comes with the unit is the only one they have. Some other reviewer said you could buy a better head from them, but that is not true. I don't think it's enough of an issue where I can't live with it. If you don't have an issue with mineralized water, you might not even experience this problem. As for the Carafe itself, I have seen the complaints about the cover not staying on and the steam coming through it to burn you. If you keep your thumb on the top of the unit while pouring, this is not an issue. The cover stays closed and no steam escapes from it. That's why they have an indentation for your thumb to rest on. The cover does stay on when you are pouring if you have it on right. It's a little annoying to put it on and take it off, but nothing that would make you not want to keep the coffee maker. That being said, I dropped the Star rating down to 4 because of the minor flaw of the water slightly dripping down the side of the filter basket during brewing. If I can get it to work right, I would definitely give the 5 star rating. It does everything a coffee maker should and does it well. When it comes right down to it, brewing the perfect cup of coffee is all that matters in the end. So with that I would definitely recommend this unit, besides the one minor inconvenience.

Good bad ugly
Restarters I have extremely low vision and I’m using Siri to write this so sorry for any misspelled words or strange words. I purchased this and have now used it for three days the good is it simply excellent. I had no problems figuring out how do use it without even reading the directions getting it plugged in and making my first part of coffee. Overall I am very delighted with it the flavor of the coffee is wonderful it’s as good as any place you’re going to go the fact that it brings the water up the temperature before it starts spraying it on the coffee grounds is great also I’ve been making smaller pots like 4 cups and it’s might take a little better more time but it is simply better than using the pods you get a real rich full flavor. Also I purchased the non-filter basket that you can use in it and it fits perfectly and is wonderful for a very low price then you don’t have to wrestle with filters. Bad is that it’s not really what I expected when I ordered stainless steel I thought I was going to get something pretty shiny that I might be able to see when light hits it instead stainless steel is very little on the product only on the front as far as what I can feel but most of the product is plastic practically the entire product is Bryce plastic not to heavy duty like you would see in a hotel the restaurant but I can’t complain it works great. The ugly thing I found most disappointing is putting the lid onto the coffee carafe there’s two tiny ears that fit into a slot on the handle because of some arthritis and not wanting to bust it I have not been able to attach the word to the coffee pot. I will have to inflict this upon a family member maybe but it seems that for such a critical part of the lead going onto the path if they would make it easier to attach or more sturdy I can just see one of those tiny ears breaking off and then the lid sliding around on the pot like it currently dies. This is not a dealbreaker and I’m willing to deal with it as far as the coffee goes it’s excellent I am so happy with this purchase and wish I purchased it before I been using a $20 cheap coffee pot and thought it was OK but this is wonderful and the best. Bun means excellent and always has. Good luck with your part good luck putting the lid on the coffee carafe but I’m sure you’ll deal with it have a great day thanks for reading my review So after using this for about three weeks the biggest problem still be is the lid on the coffee pot itself if they just invest festive another $.50 delivered stop falling off the coffee pot it is extremely hard for me to attach and it stays attached for no more than 15 minutes before it falls off when you touch it or try to do anything with it they could have an excellent product here but they nearly need to look at the lid on the pot it’s just simply the weakest point a piece of junk

Great Brand
I absolutely love my Bunn!! The only reason I have given it four stars is because it does take a longer time to begin brewing but once it begins it is finished in no time.

Really good
I love the way this basically uses a pour over method. The water also gets hot enough to make the coffee correctly.

Excellent Design!
We love this piece of art! Great design. Love the engineering. We don't care for the auto-shutoff after 2 hours. So far it's working well. Turns out the auto-brew function is a nice feature since it does take a few minutes to heat the water and brew the coffee. But it's not a big deal. Reasonably priced compared to other certified coffee makers. A 3-year warranty is a definite selling point, but I don't know the details of it.

Great coffee maker! Bought 2!
Very easy to program and use and makes very tasty coffee! My girlfriend used to still buy coffee at Tim’s all the time with our former coffee maker but now she prefers our Bunn coffee. I bought a second one for a second house — I think the makers took reviews into account. The coffee pot plastic lid doesn’t fall out easily in our second Bunn like it does for the first Bunn!

Poorly designed coffee maker prone to lukewarm coffee shortly after brewing
Poorly designed coffee maker prone to lukewarm coffee shortly after brewing Save your money and buy something else that meets your needs. Finding a good reliable coffee maker isn't easy. A root cause may be corporations fighting durability and right to repair trying to get rich and force consumers into a disposable mindset. I was very disappointed, even with subscription, I could not find good trusted consumer reviews. Paid commercial reviews by coffee aficionados organizations didn't serve me well. They both seemed to ignore what really mattered to a consumer. The only thing that seem to have a modicum of truth to them were consumer reviews and then there were so many of them it was hard to find truth. It was hard to gauge what was a real honest reviews, which were user error, what was a one off manufacturing defect and which ones were likely fake ones. Only the uniqueness and level of effort in the review helped find authenticity. I did a lot of research trying to find a clear winner before finally giving up and paying $273 for this maker. In my opinion I believe this coffee maker is obscenely overpriced especially in Canada. What I purchased to replace this did not have these failings and cost a third of the price locally and arrived next day. This was tagged with Prime but took much longer to arrive than it should have. Support on this product is non-existent and unreachable even immediately after purchase. They are in theory only available by telephone, they have a tiny part of business hours support window which is useless if you can't take time off work to call. Not acceptable for a consumer product. Even during their tiny support window they did not answer the phone. The voicemail said they had reduced their support hours even further. They did not return the message I left. The "Heat N’ Brew Technology" which basically came down to brewing coffee with water that was right temperature and distributing more efficiently across the grounds. This is a good feature. This maker had several failings which made it unusable for me: - This uses A10 basket type filters. This was an unexpected large disadvantage as they retained a full cup of the water that should have become coffee. - This was very messy to compost as you had to squeeze the retained cup of water out of the filter with your hands or your compost bags would become soaked and break. - Note #4 Cone based filters on a different coffee maker I replaced this with did not retain water. - The coffee maker itself would not hold enough water to make a 10 cup pot. 9 was the maximum. - We drink MUGS of coffee not hypothetical tiny cups. We found my partner and I could not get two mugs of coffee each out of this setup. We went for a 14 cup replacement and always now have more than we need. - The maker is good at immediately making hot coffee but it quickly became lukewarm. Luke warm coffee when you want some cream in it isn't drinkable. - We had to microwave brewed coffee for a minute first to get it close to hot enough. - The "hot" plate which really was a barely "warm" plate and was not temperature adjustable. It did not burn us when a bare finger touched it after it was on for 30 minutes. Fail. Competing products come with low medium high temperature settings. - The "warm" plate had an non-adjustable 2 hour timeout. Competing products are user adjustable 30 min - 4 hrs. - I felt this did not live up to the Bunn name which is mainly known for commercial coffee makers. It felt like an outsourced product which was poorly implemented. I am shocked this got good reviews before I purchased it. - This make did NOT have the ability to take a cup before brewing finished. - I found the drip-free carafe more of a nuisance than anything. The top was removable thankfully. - I found this hard to fill without getting water around the coffee maker. I am careful but was always worried it would get into the buttons and short circuit. - I never thought I would miss filters but competing products have economical water filters for better coffee favor. - This takes a while to brew and did not give a notification we could hear when brewing completes, making lukewarm coffee almost inevitable. Almost $300 for lukewarm coffee was not what we signed up for. We returned it after we could not reach support after multiple attempts. I wish I had done it sooner.

Brews a great tasting cup.Piping hot!
Works quickly. Pours beautifully...no dripping coffee as in other coffee makers. Easy to fill. Clear cup numbers on the side. Love the auto start feature. Worth the price...have tried other brands in the past. Will not go back. Had a Tim Horton’s Bunn Coffee Maker years ago which I loved. This new one did not disappoint.

Works Great.
We are Bunn fans. Love the taste that only a Bunn coffee maker provides. Had the one that has a reservoir that keeps the water hot but unfortunately it broke down after more than a few years. Thought we'd give this one a try. We are loving it. It does take a few minutes longer to brew as this one does not have the reservoir. However I don't see that as a problem. It has been working great and the coffee tastes as good as it did with the former Bunn coffee maker. You can also set it so that you wake up to fresh brewed coffee. Nice perk!

Good Quality Pourover
Heats up quickly, especially if you fill with warm water, and brews a perfect temperature pot of coffee. Easy to access the filling spot. Cleaning the carafe and filter basket is easy as well. I bought a refurbished unit and saved about 30% making it an even better deal.
